Ｐａｒｔ ２６

We sat in the waiting room of the hospital, my head in Josh's lap. I can't believe this happened, I was with her like an hour ago, and when I leave that happens.  I kept tapping my foot and suddenly the doctor comes out of the room.

We all stand up and walk over to the doctor. He looks down at his clipboard and sighs. "So?" Asks Winter. I rub her back and the Doc starts to speak.

 "She's fine, but due to how fast the cars hit, she has to go through a bit of therapy for her knee, it's badly popped out of place." He declares. I wince at the sound of it and nod.

Before the doctor leaves he says one more thing. "Athena would like to see you guys." He says. I look at Jalen and nod.  We let him go first and talk to her, I know how worried he was for her. You might be wondering what happened well..

*flashback*

The phone drops out of my hand when I read the text, how can this be happening... 

This fucking stupid idiot really had to get hit by a car today?

Josh picks up the phone and stares at the message. "Shit, guys get into the car." He says. I grab my coat  and run into Josh's car, I sit in the front, Dior and Athena following into the back. 

Josh starts the car and we drive to the hospital. "What exactly happened." Asks Kai. I sigh and look back.

"Athena's in the fucking hospital." I sigh. Kai looks at me and gasps. "For what!" She yells. 

"That bitch had to get run over by a car." I say.  Kai's eyes widen. "A car!" She yells.

"Can we stop fucking yelling!" Josh says, banging the wheel. I roll my eyes and sit back in my seat.

I'm terrified. I'm not going to show that though, I can't. If I break then who's going to be the strong one in this?

Right. No one.

The second we park into the hospital parking, I jump out and slam the door, the others following behind me.  

I walk over to the white marble front desk. "How may I help you?" The lady sitting there had asked. 

"Athena?..." I say. She looks at me like she needs something.  "Morris...Athena Morris." I hear someone say behind me, Kai. The lady smiles before nodding and checking her computer.

"Room 301." She smiles.

Why the hell she smiling, my friend might be dead!

I nod and we all run, trying to find the room. 

I hear Josh yell from the other corridor, indicating that her found the room. We all run up to him and see distressed friends of ours. 

*End flashback*

Jalen comes back out with a smile on his face. Why the hell you smiling?

"She wants to see you all." He smiles and we all rush out of our chairs and run to the entrance of her room. I push away Winter and run up to Athena's bed and sit on it.

"Did you really have to get in a crash!" I yell at her.  "Wow thanks for asking if I was ok." She laughs, and I join in. I give her a hug and sit down, giving others turns to talk to her.

I hear the door open and a doctor comes in. "Ok Athena, the crash was not too bad, though you do have a sprained ankle that can be easily fixed, so your good to go today! Just need to sign some papers." She says.

Athena nods before thanking the doctor for her help. 

The doctor is just about to leave until she stands in the door frame and turns to us. 

"I almost forgot, Athena I don't think you should be dancing. Give it a break for 5 months." The doctor says, giving a reassuring smile. And with that she leaves.

Athena yells at the top of her lungs. Everyone is taken back from her yell.

Loud much.

"Athena, it's just five months, you'll be fine." I assure her.

"SHUT UP JOURNEE, THATS NEARLY HALF A YEAR." She yells back at me, I think my ears are broken by now. 

"Your going to be back dancing on the team in no time." Winter says, trying to comfort Athena. 

Athena stares at Winter before trying to hit her. "Athena!" I yell trying to hold in my laughter. She rolls her eyes before laying in bed again. "Get out now." She shoo's us off.

I sit in my bed doing some of my homework.  I hear a knock and someone comes in. I look up to see Josh. I smile at him and look down at my book again, reading through the pages. 

He lays on my bed and gives me a peck before snuggling up in my blanket and going on his phone. I finish up reading the last page of the book and close it away and put it in my bag. 

"Jalen had gone to get Athena from the hospital." He tells me. I give him and nod and cuddle into him.  "Journee?" He asks.

"Yes Josh?" I say, confused. "I'm taking you on a date tomorrow." He says. 

I look up at him, and smile. "Okay Josh." I say, before hiding my smile. "Journee I'm not dumb, I know you're smiling."  He laughs.
