Best foot forward
"I love the jaws of life" Elvis giggled as Sam smiled at his best friend
"I know, they're good, and you finally got to use it in the end," he smiled back as he checked the time. It was almost 6 pm. "Well, almost time for the night shift"
"Yeah, can't wait to tell Penny about today!" elvis said excitedly
"Well, you're in luck" Sam chuckled looking out the window to see Penny walking in the driveway, earphones in, with a small beige backpack. "Looks like Penny's arrived" Elvid jumped in Joy
"Ooh! Il go and tell her now before i go!" he said sprinting down the stairs. Sam chuckled and followed him to see that Penny hadn't even stepped foot in the station when Elvis ran right into her, knocking her over and making her scream in a mixture of fright and surprise
"Woah, Elvis, calm down" she said taking her earphones out and looking at him
"Elvis" Sam Called "give Penny some time to get ready, you can tell her upstairs" he said as the man nodded and apologised to Penny before going back upstairs. Station Officer Steele had come outside his office when he heard a scream only to find Elvis being super hyper as usual and running into Penny by accident. Penny continued to put her phone away in her pocket before putting her bag in her locker and getting anything she needed out before going upstairs bracing herself for whatever had happened that day that had made Elvis so hyper.
"Penny!" He yelled "guess what! Guess what! Hehehe!!"
Penny was very confused by his jolly behavior "What? Elvis?" she questioned
"I got to use the Jaws of life!" he said jumping up and down
"Erm, that's great Elvis. What did you use it for?" she questioned unsure about the conversation
"Norman got his foot stuck and I got to rescue his shoe using the jaws of life from the rock in the water!" he explained as she nodded. Sam checked his watch
"Well, Elvis, looks like your shift is now over" Sam said placing a hand on his shoulder
"Ok sam! See you two later!" he said waving them off
"Uhh, ok?" Penny questioned as Sam looked at her symphetically. "So, what happened while i was asleep" she giggled as Sam explained the days events to her and they decided to play 'who am i' to pass time
