"Well, that's one ill never forget," Penny chuckled as she drove Venus back to the firestation.
"Yeah" Sam laughed back looking at her.
"When i did my training, I never expected in a few years time that i would be helping a whale finds its mother" she smiled
Sam gave a quick glance at the younger woman besides him who was concentrating driving.
"Yeah, that's what i love about this job penny" Sam smiled "you never know what sort of emergency you'll be called to"
"Yeah Sam, guess your right" she laughed as they passed the cut price store
"Hey, look, there's charlie and the twins" sam said pointing as Penny slowed to a stop
"Hey Sam, Penny" Sam smiled
"Hi uncle Sam!" the twins chirped happily waving at their uncle as Penny smiled at them. She had always felt awkward about these situations as she was the odd one our. She did have her mum and dad in Pontypandy but her siblings were all in newtown, she sometimes wished that she could have this sort of interaction with her siblings like Sam did with his brother and niece and nephew.
"Do you think the whale is happy now?" Sarah asked as Sam looked at Penny to answer
"Oh, yes, Now that the whale is back with its mother" Penny smiled at the younger girl
"Well, we better be off" Charlie smiled as they walked off and Penny drove off back to the station.
