W I N T E R
Waking up early is definitely not my cup of tea, but today I had to. I have woken up early to go to my home. I took a much-needed shower and here I am now in the journey to the school. Though waking up early can be a bitch but still, it does give me an accomplished feeling and also some unnamed satisfying feeling.
But today is a bit different because of two main reasons; -one my eyes are puffy and I am restless because of the lack of sleep last night. —Two I have been thinking of a person who is unfortunately going to be ignored. I know I should deal my problems maturely, but I am just going to give him a taste of his own medicine.
After reaching school and having a talk with Ethan, I set my pace towards my first class. I walk inside my classroom to see that Xavier is sitting beside my seat. I roll my eyes and sit down on my seat.
Xavier must have expected me to start a conversation because he stays silent waiting for me to speak, which unfortunately I am not going to do.
After what felt like two full minutes, Xavier breaks the silence between us. “How's your mom?”
“Fine,” I stoically reply without looking at him.
“Oh…,” Xavier seems to be looking at me, obviously thinking what's going on in my mind. “Did the school's president told you about the awards?”
“Yes,” Xavier waits for me to add on, but I stay silent.
“What happened Winter?” Xavier makes me turn and look at his eyes. Well, his captivating emerald eyes.
“Nothing,” With that I remove his hand on my shoulder and looks in front me. From my peripheral vision, I could see Xavier clenching his jaw and after that, the class begins and Xavier doesn't speak at all. Well, and me too.

All my classes are over with me ignoring Xavier. Even though we ate lunch together -more like he made me to eat with, it was filled with silence.
I can hear Xavier's footsteps right behind me. Today, he hasn't brought his car, which I am confused about. I can see my home, and it feels weird that Xavier is still following me. I have been trying to avoid starting the conversation with him, but now I give up. I turn around and glare at him, who has also stopped walking.
“Hell, are you following me?” I filter my word, not wanting to bring me any bad luck.
“I was just escorting you,”
“You don't have to,” Xavier stares at me. “Why are you even escorting me. Do you think I am some person who is going to get kidnapped or something dangerous?” He looks at me wide-eyed for a second but changes his expression to the previous one which was a stoic one.
“Why are you like this today?” Xavier questions. “Is it because I am now calling you Winter? Well, if you are not liking it then I can change the way I call you. Okay… Strawberry?” I cringe without knowing the reason.
“It's not about that,” I state. “You, yourself, knows what I am angry at you for.”
“I don't know what you are talking about,” I huff out.
“I want you to be honest,” I start. “How did you know my parents were there in the hospital?”
“My spy told me,” Well… very honest answer. I wasn't really expecting that.
“How -I mean spy? Spy to what?”
“You see, there are lots of things that you don't know right now. From the biggest to the smallest, truth hidden away from you. By me, your family and my family,”
“What are you talking about, Xavier?”
“Well, let's go inside your home,” Xavier states. I turn on my heels, with Xavier now following right beside me. I open my house door and let us in.
Before I can comprehend what is happening, Xavier is being hit by four men wearing black outfits and mask covering their face. The heavy vase lands on Xavier's head, drawing out some blood. I scream as loud as I can and tries to run towards Xavier who is still standing and fighting the men with what I see is skilled fighting skills. I feel my head hit by some hard stuff.
My surrounding spins and an eerily loud noise occupies the surrounding. Wasn't the spinning enough? Even though a strange blurness has started to occupy the surrounding, I can still see Xavier with now only one man standing and fighting. I can see the other three lying on the floor with bloods all around them. I look up and see that the fourth guy is falling down now, and Xavier's approaching me.
Xavier kneels down beside me and starts carrying, and I can see his lips moving, but I can't hear what his talking about. I see his eyes are filled with tears. He looks at my eyes while I try to stay awake.
Who is this guy?
Who are you, Xavier?
“Who a-are… you… Xav?” I rasp before the overwhelming blackness surrounds my entire being.
