Tommy and Tubbo had lived in the house for only a few days, But tommy kept noticing things that were off about the house. He wanted to talk to Tubbo about it, but it was only happening to him. So he decided to keep his mouth shut. He didn't want to worry Tubbo about it until there was a more solid reasoning to be worried.
It started with his things going missing. He lost a pair of socks after just setting them on the bed. He only turned around for a few seconds, grabbing his phone, then poof. Gone. He also lost his mouse, which was odd to him since he only ever had it in one place, attached to his computer. He recovered it the following day, surprised when it was back on his desk. He decided this wasn't the best reason to worry Tubbo about it, unless it got worse.
The day after his grandmother can to check on them, things only got weirder. It was only the end of their first week there. Doors shutting on their own, even when they were fully opened. Lights often flickered in his room, put only for a few seconds before turning to normal. He started thinking that the house may actually be haunted.
After the second day there, Tommy and Tubbo had gone to town. They need to get some supplies, aka food. Being Tommy's mother, Mrs. Innit, wouldn't be back for some time, they decided it would be smart to buy some food to make at the house. Before they stopped by the market, they decided to check out a small café building, they were both pretty hungry.
"Hello, welcome to Niki's Bakery. I'll be with you in a moment!" Someone had called from behind the counter.
After a bit, two people walked behind the counter, one a tall man, not as tall as Tommy, with bright orange hair and the other a shorter female who had flour on here hand and her apron. "Hey Tommy and Tubbo!" the ginger had declared. Tubbo immediately brightened, "Fundy? I didn't know you lived all the way out here. Haven't seen you in ages!" Even though Fundy looked familiar and his name rang a bell, he didn't know Fundy that well, he's only seen him a few times. Tubbo's parents must be close with Fundy's, since Tubbo seems to know him so well.
Fundy and Tubbo had chatted for a bit, completely forgetting why they were both there. Fundy had introduced them to Niki who was still covered in flour. The conversation was going smooth until Tubbo had mentioned to them about where they were staying, Fundy and Niki had shared a glance. "You know that place is haunted, right?" Tommy had just stared at him, trying to hold in his laughter, "You're kidding right? You believe in ghosts?" Tommy only found it funnier when Fundy nodded.
Niki spoke up, "It's true. Most people who spend anytime there say they get chased away by the things haunting it. Some people have even been traumatized by visiting it, and wouldn't step foot anywhere near that side of the woods." Tommy didn't really believe them. He never really believed in the supernatural, sure when he was younger, but he was a big man now.
Tubbo didn't look to convinced, "Anyways, enough chatting about ghosts. Could me and Tommy get some..."

All the people they had asked about had said the same thing as Niki and Fundy. Haunted this, haunted that. Tommy didn't bat an eye, and Tubbo seemed skeptical. Neither really believed the assumptions. But after almost a week in the house, he started thinking it could actually be true.
After a few days of living in the house, both Tommy and Tubbo went into the attic, one of the two placed they hadn't explored. Tommy was extremely excited to go through some of the old boxes, maybe finding something to keep and a remembrance to they're summer stay. Tommy grabbed one of the boxes, it was quite heavy but surprisingly small. Tubbo had also grabbed a box, which was slightly bigger in size.
Tommy opened his first and dug inside. There was some gardening tools, a strange looking robe, some sandals, and arguably the most important things in the box, a green and white bucket hat and a framed photo. He grabbed the photo first, calling Tubbo over. They both stared at the photo.
