Who would even burns down the already burnt cabin a second time? Wouldn't that just add to your chance of getting caught? I believe many of you thought that Techno's biggest opponent, Dream, had committed the crime.
And if I wasn't watching through parted clouds, I would have believed it too.
He had the biggest possible motive out of all the called suspects. But was proven innocent as he was with his family and friends during the fire and din't even know about the fire until he was called in for being a suspect.
The Police did end up finding the culprit. No clue how they did. He covered his tracks very well. Must have been very experienced.
Apparently he was.
He was a rather famous killer, going from town to town finding people who he deemed fit. The Police tried to interrogate him, find out anything. Why he chose the Watsons. Why he went back. How he deemed people fit, if he was working with people, anyone else they hadn't found yet.
He just listed the names of the people he ended up harming. So they sent him away for his trial.
There really wasn't a point to that, being the evidence was stacked high against him. Oh well.

So I ended up having a chat with him before he was sent away. I told him that I was curious about his methods. He was nice enough to explain, saying there wasn't really a point in hiding it, he was going to rot here for eternity anyway. He didn't go into very much detail about his thought process behind picking people, but he did explain why he went back.
"I went back to see if the house was still up, and to see if I had caused everlasting damage. That's why I like my killings to be dramatic. You know, make an impact. Get them to remember you. I wasn't expecting anyone to be in it, much less two children. Saw them in the window. They were watching a movie. Decided I'd come back in the late night to burn it again. Maybe then the impact would stick? Plus it was perfect for another two victims. And they were kids alone too. Just made my job easier."
I just stared forward with no real emotion. I had asked to talk to him, so I wasn't going to send him away just because I never liked the idea of death. So I continued to listen with partial interest.
"Especially since the other family never got out. So I just did it the same. Really easy when the backdoor doesnt seem to lock properly. So I stood back and watched. And as I was going to make my escape, the Fire Department was there. And I sadly was caught."
The killer didn't go into much more detail after that. He just rambled about things he was hoping to do before he was caught. So I sent him away. There was no real reason for me to continue talking to the sad creature. So I finally told him took him to the gateway for him to leave. There was no reason for me to even give him another chance. He would be spending the rest of his eternity in hell. Probably for the better anyway. Didn't want him corrupting the world any further.
So He walked through, and was taken away by my dear friend. We exchanged short words before they both left. To bad we never had time to communicate anymore. Maybe I could convince my sibling to replace me for a day so we could actually talk.
There was no point in sulking about my job. Oh well. Maybe soon I will finally be able to meet them.
And I think you already know who I'm talking about.
So I'll make my way over. They had requested that my friend and I do it over their normal choice, saying that they wouldn't come here together. So as the deity I was, there was no reason for me to decline the wish, accepted. Either way, anything was better than having to stand at the gates and look to see where they would go. Glad they have rotating schedules of people.
I wonder what there like.
