Chapter 5

"You need to let your sunbaes see your performance, let's see what can they say about you girls. Get ready okay?" the manager told us as he left us all here in the room, dumbfounded.

"No way!" I exclaimed.

"Why so sudden? And why the sunbae?" Zia said, panick is evidence in her voice. I also panicking. It can't be! It can't be!

"Is this even true? Wait, why so sudden?" Hannah asked also. All of us were silent after. This is so sudden. They all stood up and fixed theirselves while I'm still here, sitting.

"Era-ssi, come on." Zia said. I looked at them nervously.

"We know you're nervous unnie, we are too." Yewon said. I sighed and stood up.

"I'm scared, he's there." I whispered while fixing my hair.

"You can do it unnie, don't mind arraseo?" Jinny said and smiled. I smiled at them and sighed.

"We can do this! DUSK fighting!" we yelled. We went to DAWN sunbaenim practice room. I wonder what would they say.

The moment the door opened, we can hear them talking to each other. We went it and they look at us.

"Annyeonghasseyo sunbaes! We are DUSK, please take care of us!" we said in unison. They clapped their hands and we smiled. Kayden is there, staring at me. I compose myself and ignored him.

"Woah, you guys are looking good!" Jake sunbae said. But he's looking at Hannah unnie. Hmmmm. We chuckled at his remark.

"I mean yeah, you are looking good." he added and looked away. Awww. Is he embarrased?

"Are you girls ready?" Keon sunbae asked. We all nodded and went to our positions.

(since they haven't debuted yet, I'll keep the song secret for awhile ksks)

"Wow, you guys rock." they said while clapping. We did great aren't we? 

"I love the way you dance, I can feel you're gonna shine because of that!" Heesh sunbae said while smiling. He's looking at Jinny. Weird.

"And your vocals, damn!" Jake sunbae added and we all smiled.

"Yah, Kayden hyung! Aren't you going to say something?" Keon sunbae asked him. His face remained like that.

"They're good," he simply said and smiled.

"That's all?" they asked. I looked down.

"About the new member," he started saying. I looked at him. Is he going to say something bad?

"You still need to practice tho, there are chances that you are still catching up with your members, you need to focus. You're debuting soon, you don't want your group to be flopped right just because of you?" He said. I was speechless.

"Kayden ah! Don't be like that!" Max sunbaenim said. He looked at me and smiled.  "Mianhe Era-ssi, I sometimes don't know what's with this man, I don't see anything bad about you, in fact, I am amazed. You trained for a month only and you really know how to handle those things," he added and smiled.

"Kamsahamnida Max sunbaenim. I couldn't do it without the help of my members," I said and smile. I looked at Kayden.

"And I'll keep that in mind Kayden sunbaenim," I said in a low voice. My friends looked at me and smiled. As if they were telling me that it'll be fine.

"I think we're all good now?" Manager-nim asked.

"Ne!" We all said in unison.

"Thank you so much for your time sunbaes!" Hannah unnie said and we bowed. They all nodded and smiled. Except for Kayden.

"I hope your debut will be successful! We'll watch the music video too. Thank you!" The quiet one, Justin sunbaenim said.

"We'll be going now!" Hannah said.

I was the last one who went out and then I heard Eros said.

"Yah, you're being harsh with Era!" He said. I didn't listen for his reply anymore and went out immediately. I touched my heart. It was beating so fast!

"Unnie? Gwaenchana?" Yewon asked and went to me. I smiled and nodded.

"Ne, I am good. Somehow, max sunbae's words help me at ease. And I know now what I should do if I mess up," I said as we walked through the hallway.

"Kayden was saying too much, how can he say such thing?" Kahrel said and shook her head.

"Let him say what he wants to say, it was also true tho. I have to practice more." I said.

"Unnie, our schedule is free now. We can go to our favorite café and chill." Jinny said and smiled at me. I shook my head.

"Ani, I need to practice." I said.

"But Era, today is our only free day, we can practice after that." Zia said and pouted. I chuckled because of her cuteness.

"You can go without me you know, and I really want to practice. Remember, compared to you I only have the limited time to practice, I want to get better, not just good." I said and patted their heads.

"Aish, you really are stubborn. We'll bring you foods alright? Don't practice too much!" Hannah said and looked at me seriously.

"Unnie, I will be fine. You can go now, have fun!" I said and smiled at them. They waved at me as I went inside the dance room.

I don't know why but the way how Kayden talked to me earlier hurts. How can he say those? Yes, I know I am still lacking something but he doesn't have to be that harsh. I sighed and looked at myself in a big room.

I started dancing. I am really tired already. I checked my phone and it's already 7 in the evening. I wonder where are they. They maybe had fun in there. I rest for awhile and drank water. Later on, I started practicing again. I am so weak right now. I can't even properly move my legs.

I breakdown. I am too tired to stand up even.

"Annyeonghasseyo?" I heard someone behind me.

"Era-ssi?" I was about to look back but my eyes got heavy and it blacked out.

"Era-ssi!"
