Chapter 48

This chapter contains Kayden's point of view, all throughout the story!

My schedule is free today and I have nothing else to do that's why I decided to go to the nearest coffee shop. Of course, I also have to be careful.

It's hard for me to always go out by myself. All I do is always think about her. Era. My best friend. I sighed. How is she? Is he okay? I sighed once again. Why do you keep on thinking about her Kayden? She's happy now. With that guy.

"You pig!" I can still remember how they always bully her. She just stood there. I have this feeling in me that I have to help her. So I went to them and helped her.

"What are you doing with my girlfriend?" I asked once I got in their place. Irene was looking at me.

"K-kayden,"

"I said what did you do to my girlfriend Irene?!" I shouted at her. I'm irritated. Is this what she always do? Bully her?

"So, Irene. Does she always do that to you?" I asked Era as we eat. She's a good cook I can say.

"Y-yes. Ever since I transferred school, she bullies me a lot." She replied and looked down. I feel bad for her.

"Why?" I asked. What's Irene problem? Can she focus on her life instead?

"I don't know. S-she always do that. Sometimes, she'll do worse. I don't even know what I did."

"This school sucks!" She said and chuckled. I was strucked. She sounded cute.

"Yeah, it is." And then we become silent again. This is too awkward.

"Why are you talking to me? You shouldn't be talking and eating with me." She suddenly asked. I know she will ask about this, but I smiled and looked at her instead. 

"Why not? I want to be friends with you." I said and chuckled. Her eyes widened.

"I don't m-mind at all." She said. I don't know what's with me, but I ruffled her hair and she  immediately looked down. She's cute.

"Don't be shy. We're friends already right?" I said and smiled. She nodded and smiled.

"Good. You done eating? I still have class later tho." I said and she nodded.

"Let's go." she said and we went to my class.

"I'll see you later." I said and smiled.

"Huh? Where are we going?" she asked.

"Uh, let's eat again? I don't know. Let's see later. Okay? Take care Era-ssi." I patted her head and smiled. She smiled back. I don't know why, but I really want to get close to her.

And yes, we did. She became my best friend. She was always around me, I'm protecting her to everyone who's bullying her. That stopped eventually, which I was really happy. I also noticed this bubbly personality of hers.
