Chapter:5
"Lizzy!! Lizzy are you awake??" My mom's delightful voice woke me from my sleep.
"Yea! I'm up mom!" I groaned.
As i attempted to get up a slight weight on my leg kept me from getting up. What the..... Austin! He had swung his leg over mine. Effectively holding me captive. "Austin!" I hissed. "Wake up! I have to get ready."
"I don't wanna." He mumbled.
"Oh, get up, you lazy butt." I smacked his leg.
"Ow, fine woman i'll get up. No need to get violent." He rolled to the side of the bed letting me get up. Before putting his head back into my pillow.
"You have to get up too!! My mom can't see you in here! Also you wanted to come to my rehearsal today, so your going."
"Oh yeah, i did say that didn't i?"
"Yep, now out i have to get ready." I pushed him out of bed. He landed on his back on the floor with an 'oumh'. I let out a sort giggle. His face was hilarious.
"Fine, fine i'm going." He stalked out of the room and across the hall to his.
"Finally," I muttered under my breath.
I walked over to my closet, trying to decide what to wear.
I finally settled on a pair of light blue jeans, matched with black high heel ankle boots that had tassels hanging off the edge. Putting on a tee-shirt that said 'Ha Santa jokes on you. I wanted coal'. Little holiday humor. Get it, yes, no, maybe so? Okay i'll shut up now.
Pounding on my door struck me out of my thoughts. What now? "Yes." I called annoyed.
"You coming? We have to leave in five minutes!" Austin's voice came from beyond the door.
Crap!Five minutes! I still have to do my hair and makeup. Running out of my room and into the bathroom, almost running down Austin in the progress. I grabbed my brush off the counter and brushed out my hair. Good thing my hair wasn't too insane this morning.
I ran out of the bathroom only to run back in. Make-up, totally forgot. Otherwise i look like the walking dead. I had enough time to put on mascara and lipgloss. That should do.
Why do us girls always take for ever? It's such a pain. No pain. No gain.
Running downstairs to the kitchen i grabbed a bowl of cereal and just about inhaled it. My mom waited patently by the door with her keys in hand. Austin stood next to her with a smirk on his face as i chocked down the rest of my cereal.
Rinsing the bowl out in the sink i grabbed my coat and pulled it on while i made my way to the door.
"All ready!!! Let's go!" I said as i walked out the door. Austin and mom following me into the car.
I automatically went for shotgun, but remembering that Austin was there , deciding to be nice,i hoped into the back set. He slide in next to me. Shutting the door and buckling before turning to me.
"That's an interesting way to eat cereal." He smirked.
"You believe it is." I resorted.
* * *
I did my best and ignored my mom and Austin, who were now in a conversation about who knows what. I just wanted to get this rehearsal over with. I wasn't much about singing in front of people. But i never really had a problem with it.
"Lizzy, we're here. Now, do your best! Go," she shooed me out the door.
"Bye mom, Love you!" I called. Waking into my school. Austin trailing behind me.
"Come on let's not be late." I dragged Austin to the stage.
"Well, who is this?" Britney, school whore , slid up next to Austin wearing a shirt that definitely wasn't meant to be worn in winter. Her boobs practically hanging out of it. "Are you single? Cause if you are you won't be for long." She purred.
Austin looked very uncomfortable, sliding away from her and closer to me.
"Um, i'm here with Lizzy," he pointed to me.
Britney sent me the death glare. If looks could kill. I'd be shaking hands with Jesus. And i hadn't lived long enough to die. Better steer lear of her.
"Come on Austin lets go." I tugged his arm. Britney eyed me a mouthed. 'His mine.'
You know. I never really thought me a Britney had anything against each other but there always was a barrier between us. Sure i never liked her. I thought she was a sluttty whore. But hey. Nothing bad.....
