{Lizzy's POV}
Freaking out.
I've been doing a lot of that lately. Breath. All i need to do is breath, otherwise i will pass out. Think of happy thoughts. Like, um,er, what i want for Christmas. Yea. Wait, what do i want for Christmas?? Now i got to think.
"Common!! Everyone on stage." Mr. Daniel, My chorus teacher, said. Ushering us up on to the stage.
Great. I was completely distracted for going on,by thinking of what i wanted for Christmas. Now i'm just gonna freak out again.
"Lizzy, common."Daniella pushed me gently to the stage. She was surprisingly nice.
The stage curtain was still down. Hiding me, i mean us performers from the crowd. Mr.Daniel announced us to the crowd and the curtains were drawn back. Revealing us to the crowd.
I froze. Every pair of eyes seemed to be on me, but i couldn't seem to find the one pair of eyes that make me feel better.
"And now Lizzy Hampton." Mr.Daniel said my name and i knew it was time to start sing. All my back up dancers were waiting for the chorus before coming out.
The background music started playing as i let the words flow out of my lips. Closing my eyes and pretending that no one was watching I began to sing.....
I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas
Is you
I opened my eyes on the 'you'. The second they were opened they connected with the warm honey eyes i had been searching for. Austin gave me a smile that made my insides melt. Suddenly, I knew exactly what i want for Christmas. The words i sang, started to seem so real. As i sung them, my eyes never leaving Austin's.
I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
And I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
My back up dancers came in as the song grew in intensity. We began to dance. My eyes still never left Austin's. His never left mine either.
I don't need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won't make me happy
With a toy on Christmas Day
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you
You baby
Oh I won't ask for much this Christmas
I won't even wish for snow
And I'm just gonna keep on waiting
Underneath the mistletoe
I won't make a list and send it
To the North Pole for Saint Nick
I won't even stay awake to
Hear those magic reindeer click
'Cause I just want you here tonight
Holding on to me so tight
What more can I do?
Baby all I want for Christmas is you
You, baby
Oh all the lights are shining
So brightly everywhere
And the sound of children's
Laughter fills the air
And everyone is singing
I hear those sleigh bells ringing
Santa won't you bring me the one I really need?
Won't you please bring my baby to me?
Oh I don't want a lot for Christmas
This is all I'm asking for
I just want to see my baby
Standing right outside my door
.........
I continued to sing as we came into the finale. The dance stepping up in gear.
..........
After my performance, i couldn't hold in my joy to see Austin again.
What could i say? I'm in love.
