The next day:
Unsurprisingly, we were playing baseball again. But Ham was batting this time so this would be interesting. "Hamilton "the Babe" Porter." He said to himself. I was silently laughing at him God these guys are such idiots I can't help but think. "Long-ball Porter." He says. "C'mon DeNunez" he says before doing Babe Ruthes signature point which gets me cackling. DeNunez pitches the ball but Ham misses it, I almost fall to the ground. "This is baseball not tennis!" He calls.

DeNunez pitches again, this time Ham hits it....over the fence. As Ham ran his homer while being beaten up by all of the boys gloves I stood closest to the fence. "I've got It!" I call out to them. I start climbing the fence when I hear yelling, I turned my head when I got to the top of the fence and saw all of the boys running at me with panicked faces. "What are you guys doing?!" I question, fairly confused. But no one answers. They all just yell "Y/n!!". As they are all reaching out to me I swat there hands away "Guys I gotta get the ball!" I say before Yeah-Yeah grabbed me by the waist and starts carrying me away from the fence with Benny's help. "Stop, what the hell?" I ask as they place me down. They are all panting as Squints says "Holy crap, you could've been killed."
"Yeah, Yeah, truly. What are you doing?" Yeah-yeah asks out of breathe. "Well I was trying to get the ball back, obviously! But you lunatics grabbed me before I could get it!" I say frustrated. Benny raises his eyebrows "You can't go over that fence." Scotty and me are really, really confused now. "So how do we get the ball back?" I ask. "We don't." Timmy says. "We don't." Tommy repeated. "It's history" Timmy adds. "Its history" Tommy repeats AGAIN. "Kiss it goodbye" Timmy says lastly. Tommy started "Kiss it-" "Shut up, Tommy" Timmy exclaims.

Benny sighs "Game's over man, we'll just get another ball tomorrow," the rest of the team agree "we'll never see it again." He finishes. Scotty frowns "Why not?" He asks before they all started walking away. They turned towards me and Scotty again and sighed.
"The Beast." They all said.
I groan in annoyance "What is that?". Benny looks at the fence then to me real quick before stepping forward and holding my shoulder "Y/n, listen to me. Go to that fence, real slow. And be quiet." I raise my eyebrow "But-" Benny interrupts me "No, no, no. Just go and peek through that hole. It's okay, just go."

I hesitate "go Y/n" some say and "come on Y/n" then I start walking to it. They all shush me like librarians. I walk a bit faster across to it when they whisper to me "slow..." I look at Yeah-Yeah who is watching me closely while blowing a bubble. They then shush me again "okay, you know I've got the whole shush thing alright?!" I whisper-yell. Then they're quiet while I crouched down to peek through the hole. I saw the ball next door, laying in the dirt before a giant dog paw pounced onto it. I fell backwards getting caught in Yeah-Yeahs arms unexpectedly. I don't think he expected it either. Scotty came running up as well. While all the boys attention was on Smalls now, Yeah-Yeah let me go "You okay?" He asked. I nodded quickly "yeah, uh, thanks." I walked away from him and next to Scotty when he asked "what was that thing?". All the boys nodded to each other.

"Camp out!"
