HARLOW SAT IN THE great hall, for lunch. a smile still on her face from the night before. pansy and daphne sat down next to her.
"what's got you so happy?" pansy asked.
"you noticed it too?" daphne inquired, "she's been smiling all morning."
harlow blushed, "did something finally happen with cedric?" daphne asked.
harlow shook her head, "no, and nothing ever will. there is someone though."
pansy and daphne looked at each other and screeched, "who?"
"he's a fifth year, slytherin, his names tom."
"i haven't heard of him, mysterious." daphne said.
draco injected himself in the conversation, "does potter have herself a boyfriend?"
"no, potter does not have a boyfriend." harlow mocked draco. "you shouldn't eavesdrop, malfoy."
draco rolled his eyes and turned his attention back to crabbe and goyle.
"well, what happened?" asked pansy.
"he came to our dorm room last night, i left a book in the courtyard yesterday and he came to return it." explained harlow.
"and that's all that happened?" daphne interrogated.
"i mean, before he left we kissed." harlow told the girls, tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear.
daphne and pansy screeched again, snape turned to the three girls and shushed them.
"sorry." pansy and daphne said in unison.
"so where is he?" daphne quiered.
"yeah, is he here?" pansy inquired, both girls started looking around the room.
harlow looked with them and furrowed her eyebrows, "um, actually no, he's not."
"that's peculiar." said pansy.
"yeah, i guess it is."

the second years slowly shuffled into potions class. one by one filling the desks, harlow once again sat next to daphne and pansy. harlow saw hermione, harry, and ron file into the desks to. she offered them a warm smile, which was happily returned to her from all but hermione.
hermione took her spot next to susan bones, and ron took his spot next to harry. they all sat a few rows behind harlow.
after few minutes went by, all of the students were sat in their seats. the door was slammed behind them and in walked professor snape.
"welcome back second-years. the rules are the same as last years, don't think for a moment that since you are second-years now means that you get to fool around." snape told them, walking to the center of the room. "we will begin straight-away with reviewing last years material."
