Castiel strained his tired eyes; trying to read the fine print of each white label. The shelves were completely full, but the one book Castiel was looking for was missing. He scanned the shelves once more for the last name Hinton, but it was no doubt taken out by someone else. Cas walked up to the front desk, giving up on his search.

"Excuse me" Cas said quietly to a small, older woman with gray hair and puckered lips. She turned to him, acknowledging his presence. "I was wondering if you have the book The Outsiders in by, um, S. E. Hinton?"

"I'll check" the lady said sourly, her voice dry and cold. The clicking of her keyboard filling the science of the library. "It's out and long overdue. If you like I can put you on the waiting list" She said with no emotion

Cas sighed. "Yes please, thank you" Before walking back to the young adult section for a different book. He had to keep himself busy some how now that school was out.

Cas was in surprisingly deep thought in thought about which book he should borrow, when he bumped into someone who was in a rush, momentum pushing them to the ground.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't see you there" The boy said, standing up quick, holding out his hand to Cas.

"No one ever does" Cas mumbled under his breath, taking the guys rough, strong hand. A small blush crept across Castiel's face.

"I'm Dean. Dean Winchester. Sorry again" Cas met Deans eyes and froze, his mouth falling open slightly. His forest green eyes, so subtle yet so perfect. His eyes danced along with his perfect smile and pearly white teeth. The small amount of freckles placed perfectly on his nose, his dark dusty blond hair combed back so nicely. He was handsome. So very handsome. "And you are?"

"Oh, um, sorry. I'm Castiel." Cas replied trying to hide his blush. "Novak. Castiel Novak." He quickly added, shifting on his feet.

Cas's heart was beating faster and faster the longer he stared at Deans amazing figure.

"Nice to meet you Castiel. Cool Chucks" Dean complimented, pointing to Cas's galaxy High ankle converse.

"Oh, uh thanks. Cool smile" Castiel's eyes widened and he looked at the ground as the  smile on Deans face Cas liked grew wider. "Sorry that was weird, I didn't mean to say that"

"No it's cool" Dean chuckled. "Once again, sorry. I was in a rush. I have to go babysit my nephew, Jack and I needed to return the book that took me forever to finish. It's not that long, I just can't get into books. But I liked this one." Dean said holding up the missing copy of The Outsiders. "The way it ended was so sad, but so beautifully written. I don't usually cry, but for some reason, this book made me tear up. Between you and me a few tears did fall." He whispered the last part jokingly so that only Cas could hear. "I came here to try another one of S.E. Hintons other books because my brother says there pretty good. I think I'm going to try Texas and I realize now I'm rambling, sorry" Now both Dean and Cas were blushing.

"No, it's ok, I love that book too. I actually came here to pick it up. But, it was out. Obviously"

"Well perfect timing then. I'll return this and then get moving because I have to be at my brothers house in 10 minutes and they live 20 minutes away, so yah. But, it was nice meeting you Castiel." Dean waved and walked away, a small bounce in his step.

Cas smiled to himself, as he waited for Dean to return the book so he could read it once more.

As Cas walked out of the library, Dean ran up to him on the marble steps.

"Hey, Cas, one more thing." Cas smiled at the use of the nickname. "Here's my number, I'll see you at Elks coffee at 9 tomorrow for breakfast, my treat." He winked and handed him a small peace of paper before walking off to his black 1967 Chevy Impala. She roared and he pulled out of the parking lot, down the street and out of view. Cas smiled so wide, his excitement overwhelming him. He did a small heel click off the stairs, tossing and catching the copy of The Outsiders. He got a date with the cute guy at the library, And he couldn't wait to tell everyone.
