AN: This one doesn't have a whole lot of Sabriel, but I promise, I'll get a good Sabriel chapter in at some point. Please ignore spelling and grammar mistakes and enjoy Dahlings 😙

Sand stung Gabriel's ankles as his older brother, Lucifer, playfully kicked some at him. Gabe stopped in his tracks, bent down, and in one swift movement, threw cupped his hands around a small pile of Sand, throwing it in the direction of Luci's face. Gabe let out a laugh, running down the beach towards the water away from his angered brother who was chasing after him, coughing out the sand that landed in his mouth. The Novak's were on their annual Beach trip to Florida, something Gabe looked forward to every year. Gabe lived with his brothers, Lucifer, Castiel, Michael, Balthazar and Raphael, and his sister, Anna. Gabriel love the smell of the beach, the sand in between his toes the ocean wind blowing on his golden hair. He took a deep breath, taking in the smell of the salt, the noise of loud teens and seagulls. While deep in thought, he forgot about running from Lucifer and had stood looking out at the horizon. The sky was a beautiful clear blue, not a single cloud to be seen. He turned around at the sound of foot against sand just in time to see Luci lunging at him, throwing them both into the cold ocean.

"Damn it, Luci!!" Gabe shouted at his older brother. He stood up, trying to wipe the wet sand off his palms but decided to wipe them on Lucifer's shoulder instead. Lucifer lay in the water on his back, laughing, his eyes full of joy.

"The sweet taste of revenge!" Luci called after Gabe as he stormed away to where Michael was setting up the beach towel and drinks. Michael was slightly laughing too, but stopped when Gabriel glared at him. Anna was tanning in the sun, Michael was reading and drinking seltzer, Balthazar was trying to impress some chics, Castiel was playing with some hermit crabs, Lucifer was chasing some little kids through the water and Raphael was no where to be seen. Gabriel sat in the towel, staring up at the blazing sun, bored.

"Mikey, I'm gonna grab my surfboard from the trunk, I'll be right back. Can I have the keys?" Gabriel turned to his brother.

"Don't call me Mikey" Michael acknowledged him, not looking up from his book but handing Gabriel the keys. Gabe jogged over to the red convertible they were renting, the hot black pavement burning the bottoms of his feet. He popped open the trunk, burning his hand in the process, dancing on both feet. He quickly grabbed the surfboard, and not wasting any time, closed and locked the trunk before bolting for the sand. He slowed once he reached it, and headed down to the water where Luci was playing monkey in the middle with two 5 year old boys. Luci was good with kids, and always made them smile.

Gabriel swam his way out a few feet, not too far from shore, but far enough to get a nice distance with a nice wave. He bobbed up and down with the small waves, waiting. And then what he was waiting for was there. The perfect wave. He got on his board, bent his knees slightly, and sailed his way back to the shore. He felt like one with the wave. He was a natural when it came to surfing most of the time. As he slowed to a halt, he got off the board and stuck his tongue out playfully to Luci, whose mouth was hanging slightly open. Lucifer was always jealous of Gabriel's Surfing talent. He swam out farther this time, catching a wave perfectly once again. He did this a couple more times, before he felt his body getting kind of tired. He pushed the feeling aside and continued to swim out far. After about an hour, he wasn't able to keep the smooth sailing all the way to shore, but he kept trying. He continued to lose his balance, so eventually he decided to just swim back.

It only took Gabe 30 seconds to realize he wasn't moving. He tried to paddle harder, but it was no use. The tide was pulling him out farther to sea. Gabriel started to panic, breathing faster, kicking harder. Nothing. He tried to call out to Luci, flailing his arms to get his attention, but Lucifer didn't seem to hear him. Gabriel came to the panicked realization that he was alone, and he was going to die. No one could help him. He shouted for Michael, for Cas, for anyone that would listen, waving, begging for help. He was about to give up hope when he heard the sound of a rumbling engine. A white jet ski with a red plus painted in the back pulled up next to him, slowing to a halt. The lifeguard on top was a tall, extremely handsome man with long brown hair and stunning hazel green eyes. Gabe stared, almost forgetting his near-death experience. The man held out his hand to Gabe, and he grabbed it, climbing onto the back of the jet ski. His stomach was filled with butterflies as he pulled his surfboard up with him, resting it on his lap.

"You alright?" The mysterious, cute guy asked.

"I'm fine just- just a little shaken up. I wasn't expecting that to happen" Gabe answered, feeling a blush find it's way to his cheeks. Boy, was he embarrassed. Not the way he wanted his possibly only meet cute to go, but it was worth it. The guy was wonderfully toned with a perfect tan.

"Yeah, it can pretty dangerous out here. Now hold on tight." Gabe, seeing no handles to hold on to, wrapped his arms around the tall guy's waist. Gabe could feel his abs and struggled to control himself from running his hand up and down his muscled stomach. They took off over the water, Gabe's hair blowing in the wind, his head right under Sam's blowing hair. He wished he was taller so he could smell it. He smiled to himself, feeling the spray of the salt water against his bare ankles. They slowed to the halt and Gabriel reluctantly pulled his arms away from the guy's abs.

"What's your name?" The tall guy asked, staring into Gabriel's golden eyes.

"Gabriel Novak, but Gabe is fine"

"I'm Sam" Sam held his hand out, and Gabe took it with a big smile.

"Thank you, Sam"

"It's my job. Speaking of which, if your'e ok, I have to head back to my post." Sam gestured to the tall white wooden chair in the center of the beach.

"Yeah, I'm all set." Sam smiled at him and pulled a small slip of paper from his pocket, placing it in Gabriel's palm. He winked and turned around, his tight ass looking fine in those red shorts. Gabriel watched him go before looking down at the paper. Written on it was Sam's phone number and the words 'Text me'.

Gabriel confidentiality walked back down to the beach to the rest of his family, taking a seltzer from the cooler. A slap on the back of his head caused him to spill the seltzer down the front of his chest.

"Cmon Luci, give me a break" Lucifer smiled in response.

"I just wanted to let you know that your bisexual was showing" Gabriel rolled his eyes and shoulder slammed into Lucifers chest, knocking him to the ground. Luci just laughed and stood back up, also picking up a seltzer from the cooler. "He's good looking. And he has bad taste." Luci commented, gesturing to Sam in the chair.

"So you saw all that?" Gabe asked, realizing he also must have seen and heard Gabe's cries for help but decided to ignore them.

"Hell yeah. I was the one who told him you needed help. I couldn't have my brother single for much longer, it was annoying having you follow me around every where"

Gabe smiled and punched Lucifer in the shoulder.

"Thanks, Luci"

Gabriel and Lucifer were always messing with each other, and Luci always looked out for his little brothers. But this was probably the nicest thing Lucifer had done for Gabe, or anyone in the family, in a while. Lucifer was alright after all, and he got a cute lifeguard's number.
