Chapter 4

Daryl's P.O.V.

I jolted up, panting, as the vivid nightmare slowly faded into a memory. It was the same dream, over and over again. Nëraid dying in the hallway, as the walkers sunk their teeth and nails into her skin, ripping her apart as if she were paper. That's not the worst part. Once they have killed her and we are running down the hallways, the dream changes. Her back is to me, facing the cliff that she threw her brother's body off of. She's standing in a flowing, white dress with her long black hair flowing in the sea breeze. She turns to look at me and it's like she's actually there, talking to me. She says the same thing in each dream. "It's going to take a lot more then some brain dead freaks to kill me." She then proceeds to throw her self off of it. I run to the edge and peer over, only to see her crash her tiny body into the waves.
I sat up and stared at the wall for a while, trying to collect my thoughts. After a while I get up and go down stairs and into the kitchen area. I look out the window and see that it's about 9:30 a.m., judging from the sun's position in the sky. I sit at the table, thinking. I wonder how different my life would be if she hadn't been wandering down that path, if I hadn't "kidnapped" her. I smiled at the memory of when I first met her. Almost two years ago. Because of her, I've changed. A lot. We all have.

Glenn's P.O.V.

"Hey, Autumn?"
"Yeah?"
"Want to go check the tombs with me?"
"Yeah sure."

We headed down into the tombs not knowing that one of us wasn't coming back out.
