Chapter 6
Glenn's P.O.V.

My eyes open to see the bars of the bunk bed. Where am I? My eyes widened as my memory came back. Walkers. Autumn. And Nëraid. My head shot up, grazing the top of the bunk beds. Nëraid! My mind screamed.
"Woah there. Take it easy." Maggie's voice said.
"What happened? Where's Autumn?" I looked around frantically. Maggie put her hand on my chest and pushed me back down.
"You need to rest, you hit your head pretty hard."
"No I didn't. I was bitten by walkers and then Nëraid was there and-"
"Listen to me Glenn, when Autumn brought you back from the catacombs you were in pretty rough shape. But you weren't bitten."
"I was! I was being ripped to shreds!"
"Rest, Glenn."
Maggie stood up and walked out. I dropped my head back in defeat.
"Wait Maggie-" I said picking my head back up and looking towards the door. I suddenly stopped in my track as I saw the figure of Nëraid in the corner. I opened my mouth to speak but she put her finger to lips and winked. The edges of my vision turned black and I felt myself fall back and drift away into a deep sleep.
-
Once I awoke, I got up as quickly as I could, and walked out of the cell. No one was in sight. I turned and headed towards the bathroom, the door was slightly ajar. I crept up and looked in and quickly recoiled. Sighing, I peeked back in.
Autumn gazed at the mirror. Her own face stared back. She looked down at sink, her shoulders sagging.
She glanced back up and held her own gaze. Her reflection blinked and the mirror became distorted. Blonde became black, blue became green. The mirror became clear and Nëraid stared back at her.
"Did he tell?" Nëraid spoke.
"Yes."
"They didn't believe him."
"How do you know?
She laughed.
"Oh Autumn, I'm very good at lying."
Autumn looked at her quizzically.
"But he almost died!"
"Did he tho? I will make sure this group is protected, without the truth coming out, do you understand me?"
"Then why-"
"Do you understand me?!" Nëraid barked, her eyes narrowed.
"Rodger that boss."
Nëraid rolled her eyes.
"Don't mess this up, or you'll face a wrath that even Zeus himself would run for cover. Do I make my self clear?"
"Yes ma'am."
Nëraid smiled slyly and the mirror became disoriented again. Once more, blue eyes met blue. Autumn sighed and walked out of the "bathroom". I flattened my self against the cell wall and prayed Autumn didn't see me.
She walked past me, too lost in thought to look over. As soon as she's was out of range I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I ran into the bathroom a looked at the mirror.
"Nëraid?" I asked. No answer.
I let out a cry of anguish and slammed my fist into the mirror. I watched as the glass shattered, its shards cascading into the sink.
Autumn was the smoke and my sanity was the mirror.
