43. Roll of the dice

The Weasley twins had told me they need an age potion. They told me I had to make it cause I was the best at potion making. I decided I couldn't do it. Only because I didn't want it to actually work and them get picked and get hurt. I don't know what I would do if they did get hurt. I decided to botch the potion but a bit so they couldn't get hurt by it. But so they couldn't actually get into the tournament.
"Hey guys the potion is ready." I said giving them a smile
"Great thanks so much Makenna!" They said in unison
They ran into the room and about five minutes later they came running back out and shoved me into a closet.
"BLOODY HELL MAKENNA!" Said George
"I'm sorry guys but I can't have you getting hurt..."
"That's not it! They gave us detention!" George yelled
"What..."
"They saw us drink the potion and put our names in. Dumbledore immediately took our names out. Now there's no way we can enter the tournament and win the money." Fred said sternly
"We could've given half of it too my mom to maybe pay some bills and get some news kitchen pots and pans. Me and Fred could've gotten our joke shop!" George said still angry
"I'm sorry guys I just can-
"Cant have us getting hurt. Yeah we heard you the first time." They both said walking out

3 days later

I had talked to dumbledore and told him I made the potion and said I was the reason they entered. He believed me and told me that I would get detention instead of them.
I went to go tell them in the halls.
"Fred George! wait up please! I have something too tell you!"
"Makenna we don't want to talk too you." They said sternly."
"But I have good news for you!"
"What is it." Said Fred
"I got you both out of detention I told dumbledore it was my fault."
"Makenna." They said lovingly
"No don't say anything I just want both of you too be happy."
They both hugged me warmly. I hugged back thank goodness I had my best friends back
