Missed my chance

I sat there staring at her beautiful hair. Her beautiful eyes shimmering in the sunlight. She was more than beautiful, she was an angel. But then he walked in. Neville longbottom. Her boyfriend. He was a sweet kid and I still liked him but...I wanted her to be mine. He sat next to her and kissed her forehead before starting his notes. I could see them both sneaking little glances at eachother. Then the bell rang. I looked down at my empty paper.
"Shit."
"Hey you ok there Freddie?" George asked
"I forgot to take notes."
"You were looking at her again weren't you..."
I nodded my head yes.
"Fred you know she's happy with-."
"You don't have to remind me." I snapped
"Freddie." He said sitting down next to me.
"I just wish..." I said tearing up.
" I know I know."
She started walking towards us.
"Hey guys!" She said to me with her perfect voice.
"Hey."
"You ok Freddie? You don't look so good." She said pressing her hand to my forehead.
"You're really warm Freddie maybe you should go lie down."
"Y/n I've been meaning to get something off of my chest. I l-"
"Hi sunflower!" Neville said kissing her cheek
"Hi sweetie. What were you saying Freddie?"
"Oh uhh Id love if you could help me with getting my notes done? I was to distracted think about...my next prank."
"Sure! Come by my dorm today and you can copy my notes. Anyways I've got to get to potions bye boys!" She said walking off with Neville."
The day seemed to drag on after that. Like was a never ending loop. As soon as the final bell rang I sprinted towards to gryffindor dorm. Waiting for y/n to walk through the doors.
"Hey Freddie." She said
"Oh hey y/n" I said trying to sound cool
She went to get her notes from her dorm and I followed her. I couldn't stop staring at her. The way she spoke was magnificent.
"Here they are."
"Thanks."
About 20 minutes in I finished. But I didn't want to leave her dorm I wanted to keep looking at her.
"Y/n I have something to tell you." I blurted out
"What do you need to copy my history of magic notes too?" She giggled
"Uh yes actually but that's not was I was going to say."
"Ok go on."
"I'm in love with you!" I practically screamed
It was so silent you could hear the hufflepuffs from the other side of the castle.
"Freddie... I liked you too."
"LikED?"
"Freddie I liked you for three years but... you seemed to be so interested in Angelina Johnson."
She was right I had liked her for a couple years before I realized how amazing y/n was.
"It broke my heart to see you liked her and not me. But I love Neville now. I'm sorry."
"It's ok I just couldn't hold it in any longer."
The tension was so sharp you could cut it with a knife.
"Guess I missed my chance huh." I laughed
"Freddie I think you should go..."
"Ok I respect that." I said getting up and leaving
I walked down to see George sitting down.
"I heard everything. I'm so sorry."
"I missed my chance." I cried
"I missed it..."
