A/N i know Angelina is in Gryffindor in the books and movies but for the sake of the story, she is in Slytherin. Anyways, hope you guys like the chapter, now back to the story
- Sadie 🤍Katies POV
Draco has been stealing glances at me ever since we arrived here. We went to the great hall for the sorting ceremony and feast. Dumbledore gave his infamous speech and it was quite boring. I yawned often. None of the 6 years seemed intrigued by the speech. The first years were chatty and smiling, brilliant. At least they can be happy this year. I felt a tinge of remorse that their year will be ruined by me and Draco. It soon passed. We got as few people as Slytherins, not a lot. Most of them were in Hufflepuff at Gryffindor.
The feast ended and our group moved to the common room. Our prefect led us there and spoke to the first years, telling them what dorm room they were in. I was roomed with Briar and Angelina. Poor Celeste was with Pansy Parkinson. I hated her guts. She and Draco dated for a while but she cheated on him with Adrian Pucey. Once Adrian found out she had been with him, he dumped her ass. I honestly think he deserved better, both of them. Me and Adrian were good mates.
He never wrote me over the summer though. He should expect to hear from me on that topic soon. "Ahh, I'm so happy were roomies Kat!" Briar squealed. "Yes, so happy." I said lowly. Everything seemed to infuriate me more. "Love, what wrong?" Briar asked. "Nothing." I said coldly. I did not want her involved, i am going to try to keep it that way for as long as i can. "Obviously there is something bothering you, out with it." She said with a concerned looking man her face. "I do no wish or want to talk about it." I said as we walked up the stairs to the girls dormitories.
"Fine but I will get it out of you." She laughed. I rolled my eyes. We got to our room and i unlocked it. The room was decorated with green. I never minded it because i loved the color green. I chose the bed farthest from the door. Briar got the bed in the middle and left Ang with the one by the door. Angelina was probably with Fred Weasley. They had been dating for a little while. I loved them too together. It was cute i guess. I sat my stuff down and laid down with a sigh on my bed.
I couldn't think of anything else besides him. Thoughts surface making me smile a genuine smile. I knew we could never tell our friends about our time on the train. I got up wanting to talk to Draco about it. "Ill be right back, I am going to search for Angelina, see you later." I said and closed the door. I walked down the torch lit hallway all the way down the stairs and into the common room to find it mostly empty. I saw a taller blonde headed guy sitting down on on of the couches. I slowly walk over to him. His facial features were illuminated by the green glow of the fire. His chiseled face was so handsome yet soft. I shake my head clearing out my thoughts.
"Hey, can we talk for a minute?" I ask quietly. He looked up at me and nodded his head. I took a seat beside him. "What happened on the train," i was cut off by him speaking out. "What happened on the train, cant happen again. No t right now. We have to stay focused on our task." He said. I couldn't say i was not a little shocked by his words, yet he was right, we had too much to do. "I agree." I lied. "Well, see you at tonight's dinner." I said standing up. "See you later, Love." He said watching me walk away.
I cant say i was not surprised, this is Draco Malfoy we are talking about. He cares little for anyone but himself. Nevertheless, he is my best friend and the only person i trust the most. I suppose i will have to get over him. It was only a small crush, its not like i was in love with him or anything. But Merlin, he is hard not to fall in love with. Granted, most girls are scared of him considering most of them are half-breeds. But i knew him unlike anyone, i knew the real Draco Malfoy down to his core. There was nothing he could say or do to ever make me loathe him.
I was alone with my thoughts for awhile until i walked into my new room, both of my roommates were laughing maniacally. I rolled my eyes and immediately sprinted to my bed.
"Oi, Everette Johnson! Come here and talk to us, were bored." Briar said. "No." I stated plainly. "You aren't going to lay around and mope."Angelina said. "I said no." I spoke blandly. "All right fine. Ooh maybe I should go have a visit with Malfoy, bet he is in need of some stress reliever." Angelina said. That got my attention. I put my head up quickly scowling at her. "You most certainly will not." I said giving her my most menacing look."Called it!" Briar raised her finger up. "We knew it. You fancy him." Angelina crossed her arms. "No, I do not fancy Draco Malfoy, he's my best friend and can sometimes be a real buggering git." i said through gritted teeth. "I think that was her version of complementing someone." Briar joked. I raised an eyebrow at her. "We all know it would destroy her to say one nice thing to someone." Angelina stated plainly. "It would not destroy me! I can give nice complements." I said clenching my hand.
They both gave me the same look. "Whatever, I'm going to take a nap before the bloody feast." I said. I walked to my bed and pulled back the duvet. I sunk my body into the bed and dove off to sleep.
