3rd POV

It was the day before the christmas holidays and suprisingly, not many 8th years went home including the odd group they had created which had been close since Ginny scared Piere away when the boy cornered Draco in an abandoned hall.

Ginny was taking Luna to have a snogging session when they heard shouting. Harry came in time before Ginny could punch Piere. He was following Draco's steps in the Marauders map. He knew Draco liked brewing potions in an abandoned lab that was Severus'. He quickly put the map away when he saw Piere's name following Draco.

Instead of letting Ginny punch Piere, he did it himself and even let Draco hex him then they made Luna take him to the hospital wing. It was mean but a creepy dude who takes 'no' for an answer deserved it. Nobody got in trouble because they had a believable alibi.

After that day, Harry, Draco, Hermione, Pansy, Blaise, Neville, Ron, Luna and Ginny became close.

It was a very extraordinary group but the unity in it made Professor Mcgonagal's heart bloom with happiness. Dumbledore would always give the group a knowing smile.

Draco and Ginny got along well. Ginny would teach him about quidditch but he would never admit that and they would secretly talk about Harry.

Draco and Ron was pretty much best mates and they were chess companions.

Draco and Luna has surprisingly been good friends since 3rd year. It made Harry jealous at how close the two were. Sometimes it looked like the both blondes were a couple because he was to dumb to acknowledge that he and the platinum blonde wizard looked like an old married couple.

Draco and Neville worked well together. They both would always discuss about plants and potion ingredients together. It was so bizzare how Draco got along well with his friends.

Draco and Hermione were study buddies. They would always scold and teach their other friends. Making sure they were ready for their final exams which were few months away.

At night, after dinner, the group, without Ginny and Luna seeing they were a year under them and had curfew and couldn't go into the 8th year common would always play a game and laugh until the sun was rising and their laughs finally died down and they all retrieved into their bedrooms.

They learned so much about each other that they couldn't believe.

Everybody gasped when Draco admited that the sorting hat wanted to put Draco in Hufflepuff but then the sorting hat knew he was a Malfoy so he didn't because the sorting hat knew the boy's consequenses. They teased him mercisely about it.

They also found it shocking excluding Pansy and Draco about the many husbands Blaise's mother had and why she was rich.

There was one night where only Harry, Draco and Hermione were awake, they would tell there darkest secrets. It's not that Pansy, Blaise, Ron and Neville couldn't keep a secret. It was just that these stories come out in the darkest part of the night and they slept early. It wasn't even conciously when they tell their secrets. They just blurted out when people were getting sleepy.

One of those nights, Draco had told Harry and Hermione what it felt like living in the manor. What his father expected from him. He told them how he wasn't alowed to talk to kids other than the ones Lucius picked. How he was taught about blood purities at such a young age. How he needed to look down at people who were lower than them and befriend the people with power, fame and money then when they get more powerful than them, you stab them at the back. He also admited that he was told to torture muggle borns while working as a double agent and when the first time he was told to, and he tried to refuse, he was crucio'd by his own father. The second time, his father put his life on the line but he was ready to sacrifice himself and that surprised Lucius. He told them how Lucius and Voldemort threatened his mother but when his mother also said that she wasn't scared to sacrifice herself, Lucius and Voldemort was mad. Voldemort wanted to kill them but Lucius took pity and instead of telling them to torture the muggles and muggle borns, they were told to watch. Draco told Harry and Hermione how he can still hear the screams of pain and the blood that drop on the manor floor.
