Everyone gathered around in the Park's residence for the New Year's. It looked like a family reunion to be honest. It was noisy and loud but it got the happy and warm vibes. Still, it's not Jiro's kind of tea.

He's more of an introvert and "Chan-vert"—someone who always want to be with Chan. His mind would always want to be with his boyfriend, do things with his boyfriend, spend time with him or just something...with his boyfriend, alone. Fluff things only, hopefully.

They do spend time together but Jiro feels like it isn't enough. He isn't clingy, he just loves Chan that much.

"Ji, you good?"

"You think I'm fine with parties like this?" Jiro asked Chan back.

Chan shook his head with big eyes and a slight pout. Jiro frowned.

"Don't look at me like that," the older said.

"Like what?"

"Like that."

"Like what?"

"Like you want to go fishing."

"Fishing? The lake's too far from here, Ji."

The innocence this boy can hold.

They were in the living room, sitting on the couch, having their own space while the others were busy and talking. A few more minutes before the year ends and Jiro suddenly remembered about the fireworks display for the New Year.

Jiro held on Chan's tiny hand which caught the boy's attention.

"Let's go," the man uttered, enough just for Chan to hear.

Chan raised an eyebrow, "To go fishing?"

Jiro wanted to laugh and cry but he just shook his head and, pulled Chan out of the room and ran upstairs. The boy doesn't know why but he watched his boyfriend pulling a ladder down which seemed to be where the attic is. Jiro goes first, going up the ladder and opened the lights.

"Come up here," Jiro said.

Chan went up the ladder and saw Jiro opening up the window, letting the cold air come in.

"Why are we here, exactly?" Chan asked.

"To watch the fireworks on the rooftop."

Jiro slid out by the window and carefully standing on the roof. He was still holding on to the window, waiting for Chan to follow along but the boy seemed too scared.

"Are you coming, boo?" Jiro asked.

"You're really crazy when you're bored," Chan answered, dodging the question.

The man chuckled, "What can I say? This is the only part of the house that's quiet and we can be alone."

"Can't we like, just watch it from here?"

"You're scared?"

Chan laughed, "Duh, who wouldn't be? Your boyfriend wants to watch the fireworks on the rooftop like we're in a movie and wishing I hope I won't die."

"I've done this a bunch of times. Just hold my hand, I promise not to let go."

The boy took a minute, thinking about the possibility of his papa nagging at him for being on the verge of falling but he does trust his boyfriend. He was so sure his parents have done something crazier than this before he was born. Maybe watching the fireworks on the rooftop won't be that bad.

Jiro handed out his hand which Chan grabbed onto as he carefully stepped out of the window. Chan's knees were shaking but the man has a tight hold of him. They took a few steps before they were able to sit down at a comfortable spot.

"Good?" Jiro asked, wrapping an arm around Chan's waist.

Chan shrugged, "Guess so...?"

"Atleast I get to spend the last minutes of the year with you again," the man uttered.

"It's like your tradition and it keeps getting crazier."

"Life is boring without any thrill, boo."

Chan chuckled, "Well, before the year ends, I just want to say thank you for everything. Everything you've done for me, in general. You have always been there for me and supported me. Even though you're very strict at times, but I'm still happy that you're here. I hope we'll stay like this for a very long time."

"Duh, I'm going to marry you so you'll get stuck with me forever."

"Really? That's scary," Chan teased.

Jiro laughed, "It's something to look forward to. I'll propose to you while we're bungee jumping."

"No. Absolutely not!"

"Oh, you'll still say yes."

"Don't be too confident, Park Jiro."

"But you love me too much."

Chan sighed, "Maybe I do."
