plot: ced and his gf are sitting under a tree reading stories and singing songs to each other while having a cute little picnic, and he tells her the three magic words for the first time

background: both 6th years, been dating since 4th year

"Do you bite your thumb at us sir?" Cedric says as he reads Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare to me while I lay in his lap under the sun, under this tree, our tree.

I laugh at him, or more so the dialogue, at how the sentence sounds, the words rolling off his tongue, attached not only to his thick English accent, but also at his attempts to be humorous, clearly shown by how he makes voices for each of the characters.

"What's so funny love?" He asks, smiling, looking down at me, as I am laying in his lap.

I smile and look into his eyes, as this moment feels so serene and ethereal, just with the fact that he is in my life, and how I got so lucky.

I get up and quickly peck his lips.

"I am just admiring you and how lucky I managed to get."

"Darling, I think I'm the lucky one." He responds, still gently smiling at me.

"Just, being here with you, in this moment, you know- it just feels so right. This is by far one of the greatest and most comforting moments in my life and I know that I wouldn't trade it for the world."

He simply smiles at my speech and pulls me in for a sweet, little, passionate kiss.

"I-"

"What, Cedric?"

"No, nothing, I just wanted to ask if there's anything else you would like to eat," he asks, pointing to the basket beside us, full of food.

"Yes, actually, as you must know, food is the way to ones heart." I state, smiling slightly, reaching for the basket. "I heard of this French recipe, it's a salmon, caviar sandwich."

"Salmon, caviar?"

"Yes, my mother told me about it, it sounds delicious."

"Let's see it then." He says while I pull a baguette, olive oil, some smoked salmon, a container of caviar, brie cheese and a bread knife.

I cut the baguette, horizontally, and I spread this French dip on it, and add a little bit of olive oil. I carefully arrange the smoked salmon on it, and then scoop out some caviar and add that to the sandwich. I then add some soft brie cheese on top, and put the other half of the baguette back on. I cut the baguette into slices, vertically, so it's easier to eat.

"Voila!"

"Wow. I have to say, I'm impressed."

"Try it." I say, hoping desperately that he'll like it.

He takes a bite, and looks satisfied, so with that I am too.

"C'est magnifique mon amour." He says as I smile at him in delight and kiss him again.

So for the next fifteen minutes, we eat the sandwich, and talk about random things, half of which don't even make sense.

"Hey, um- I don't, I have no clue how to tell you this, but um, y/n, I- god I don't even know how you'll react to this," and immediately my face displays worry as to what he'll say.

"Cedric, sweetheart, spit it out, I can handle it my love." I say with a frown.

"Okay, I- I love you." He says in a sudden rush.

"You love me?" I ask, my lips curling into a big smile.

"It's okay, you don't have to say it back it's-" he tries to say before I cut him off with a quick, sweet kiss.

"I love you too." I say, climbing into his lap and resting my forehead against his. "Just say it again. One more time I want to hear you again." I say as we both chuckle lovingly.

"I love you."

this is a filler chapter so it's short but it's sweet and adorable
