Warning: it might be short!!!!
**Amira's P.O.V.**
I had to have a tutoring session with Mazin after school today.
We haven't had one in a whole week and I'm really starting to suffer in math. My teacher noticed and told Mazin to help me out again. I think I'd rather just fail then be alone with him. I still don't trust him and I don't know if I ever will.
"So you'll have to pratice math with your old bully? That sucks," Adam says.
"Tell me about it."
"He doesn't even seem like a bully. If you never told me, I wouldn't have guessed. I mean he's a pretty huge guy, but he seems like a teddy bear you know? The kind that you squeeze," he chuckles, squeezing his arms around himself.
I laugh, "Adam sometimes I wonder why we're even friends."
"Because you love me, duh."
I roll my eyes at his cockiness, choosing not to comment. Because I do love him. He's an amazing friend, something I've never really had a lot of. It feels nice to have one. I don't feel so alone anymore.
"I do," I smile, "I do love you."
He flashes me a huge grin as he squeezes me, giving me a big hug, "I love you too."
Suddenly I see Mazin standing in front of us, looking angrily at Adam, as he taps his foot impatiently. I look between them in confusion, wondering if something happened that I don't know about.
"You ready to go Amira?" Mazin says, breaking his glaring contest with Adam, as he glances at me.
"Um yeah, I just have to ask Adam something. I'll be right there," I say, wanting to know what happened between these two.
He nods his head, glaring at Adam once more, before walking away.
"What was that all about?" I ask.
"Isn't it obvious?"
"Not to me, so tell me."
"Helikesyou."
"Pardon me?"
"He likes you!"
I laugh loudly before realizing that Adam isn't laughing with me, "Wait, you were serious?"
"Duh."
"You've got to be kidding me," I say with disbelief, "You think the guy who bullied me for two years likes me?"
"I'm telling you the truth he-"
"No," I interrupt, shaking my head, "Don't even finish that sentence. Please."
"I just want you to be careful he-"
"Even if he liked me, I don't like him. So just drop this okay?"
"But-"
"I have to go. I'll see you tomorrow," I rush out, itching to get away from this awkward conversation.
I quickly walk up to Mazin, following him as he leads me to his car so we can go over to his house so he can tutor me. Yay. Note the sarcasm.
It's silent in the car, neither of us trying to make conversation with the other. And that's just how I like it. I can't get what Adam said out of my head and the last thing I need is to accidentally bring it up. We arrive shortly at his house, silently entering the house as we greet his mom and head upstairs to his room to work.
I put my things on his desk, getting out my math notebook, a calculator, and a pencil. As I'm getting these things out, I notice that he hasn't moved from his spot. I glance over at him and find him just staring at me. He blushes and quickly looks away when he realizes that I caught him staring.
He awkwardly clears his throat, "Shall we get started?"
"Sure."
