you stared at the man. he nods his head in a slightly jolt like motion. thanks to the fire you are warmed, a feeling you rather prefer.
"are you hungry?" the man- no- Technoblade spoke. you nod quickly and he gets up, moving over to the chests in the corner of his house. he rummages through them for a few minutes before returning with a plate of potatoes.
"sorry kid, its all i have at the moment." he hands you the plate. you smile at him, thanking him silently and begin to eat the cooked vegetable.

he asks you a few questions while you eat, patiently waiting for an answer. he taps on his communicator device a few times as well.
"who are you talking to on that" you finally ask him a question. he hesitates and then responds.
"i suppose you could call him my father."
"is he like us?" you say, after eating another potato.
"no, he found me when i was very young, i too was abandoned by my family. ill see when he can come meet you, he'll be quite excited" you smile. Technoblade notices youve finished and takes the plate from you, washing it and stashing it back in the chest where it was prior. "do you have any other family" he sits back down, looking at the floorboards.
"only one, my other brother died... he- lets just say- it went quite wrong at the festival" you look at him, feeling sorry for him.
"it's ok though, i know he's around when i need him"
