Here We Go..~Chapter 4

Kayla's POV

They both just stared at me, and my eyes just kept going back and forth to the both of them.

"Why are you here?" I asked Cody, breaking the silence.

"I came to apologize to you in person.." He paused and looked at Grayson, "But it seems to look like you've already moved on."

"Wait, hold on a second. You're Cody? The tool that cheated on Kayla?" Grayson narrowed his eyes at Cody.

"What did you say?" Cody's jaw clenched.

"I called you a tool." Grayson challenged.

"You better watch your mouth or-"

"Or what?" Grayson snapped.

"Stop!" I shouted.

They both turned to me and they're eyes softened and their fists unclenched.

Cody let out a frustrated sigh. "This is such bullshit.."

Cody began walking away down the hall, making sure to purposely bump into Grayson's shoulder.

Me and Grayson stood there in silence for awhile.

"Well, he seems nice.." Grayson muttered sarcastically.

"I'm so sorry about him, I didn't know he was gonna show up." I apologized.

"It's okay, it's not your fault." He gave me a small smile.

I looked at my watch and realized that it was time for curfew so me and Grayson don't even have time to watch the movie now.

"Kayla you can't ignore me forever you know?" Cody said.

He's been trying to talk to me all morning, and he's definitely not irritating me at all. Note the sarcasm by the way..

"Kayla can we please just handle this in a mature way?"

I finally turned around to him.

"Cody, you're getting on my last nerve." I said slowly.

"Not until you let me explain."

"Fine. How many time did you hook up with the girl while we were still together?" I asked and narrowed my eyes waiting for his answer.

"What?"

"You heard me, how many?"

"Once.." He looked at his shoes.

I raised one of my eyebrows up.

"It was just three times, that's it!" He said quickly.

I felt a pang in my chest and let out a groan and walked away.

"You're unbelievable.." I muttered, but just loud enough for him to hear it.

He put his hand in my shoulder and turned me around swiftly.

"I promise it will never happen again if you just give me another chance.." He said softly.

"Cheaters stay cheaters Cody." I replied with my voice cracking at the end and walked the other way with all the strength I had.

So I have some good news and bad news. I definitely want to say, thanks for 1K reads! I never knew I'd get this far c: The other news is, I recently joined a Choir group and won't be updating as frequently but I'll still update at least once a week (or at least try).
