Chapter 15 (Part 2)

Warnings: blood, fighting, bubbling skin (I know, it sounds weird)
-Virgil's POV-
   We stood there shocked. Logan looked distraught. Then Patton moved, Miss. Dragon took the ropes off and Patton stood up. "Patton run!" Janus called out, but Patton ignored him.
   Then all of a sudden, Miss. Dragon gives Patton a dagger and whispers something in Patton's ear causing his head to snap up, revealing two purple eyes. Patton was under a spell.
-Patton's POV-
   'Kill them.' Rang through my head. 'No!' I tried to shout, but the spell had taken over.
-Virgil's POV-
   All the pirates let go of us and started quickly evacuating the ship, including Melissa. "You guys go stop her, I'll handle Patton," Logan yelled.
"Are you sure?" Emile said jumping out of the way of Patton, who tried to stab him.
"Yes, I'm sure. Now go!" Logan insisted. We ran off the boat and saw Melissa fly into the sky.
"She's getting away!" Remus said annoyed.
"Not today bitch." Remy said shooting one of her wings with a magical arrow.
"Where'd you get that?" Janus asked Remy as we ran towards her fallen body, Roman and Remus knocking down pirates with their magical sword and mace.
"It was in the chest," Remy said.
When we got to her, she was standing with an enraged look on her face. "YOU BRATS RUIN EVERYTHING! I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU!" Melissa summoned a giant purple and black sword and attacked us with the rest of the pirates.
Janus, Emile, Remy, and Remus focused on the pirates, but if they got the chance they tried to hit Melissa. Me and Roman focused on Melissa more than the pirates. We blocked magic attacks and tried to hit her.
   I tried to do as Aunt Willow said, but the question is, how long will it take for her to run out of power?
-Logan's POV-
   I saw the others leave, but I quickly turned my attention towards Patton. My heart ached, I hate seeing him like this. I dodged his attack. I was planning on using my fire powers, but I don't want to hurt him.
   I backed up as he attacked again this time he sliced a slight cut on my chest. "Patton this isn't you. You are under a spell. You can fight it, I know you can."
Patton laughed. "You know nothing." He attacked again, barely striking me.
   I step backward toward the bow of the ship. "I don't want to hurt you."
   "Then you'll make it easier for me to kill you!" Patton said lunging at me. This time I lunged too. I wrapped my arms around him, knocking the dagger out of his hands.
   "Snap out of it Patton!" Patton struggled against my grip.
   "Let go of me! You'll never get me back, I don't love you anyway."
   "Patton, I know you can hear me. Remember that night where you had a nightmare. Me and Virgil had snuck out that night and you kind of caught me. You had woken up from a nightmare and were on your way to the observatory to look at the stars. On the tour, you and Roman hadn't shown us the observatory, so you offered for me to come with you-" I said.
"Stop..." Patton said. He was so close to beating the spell. Our friends could still be heard fighting Melissa. I hugged Patton tighter.
"We went up to the observatory, on to the balcony, and stargazed on the bench. You pointed to the constellation, Delphinus, and I started ranting about what it represented and who found it, but stopped when I realized I was ranting. You told me you thought it was cute and soon after that you fell asleep on my shoulder. I carried you back to your dorm then went back to my dorm."
    Patton finally hugged back and sobbed. "I'm so sorry." I looked in his eyes, the purple was gone.
   "Thank the gods your ok," I said. In the distance, I heard Melissa scream in agony.
-Roman's POV-
   Now all of our attention is on Melissa. A magic blast knocks out Remy and Janus. Remus knocked her back with his mace, she skidded to stop herself. Then propelled herself towards Remus. Emile threw a bottle filled with a green liquid at her, hitting her side and throwing her off course. Her side grossly bubbled.
   She aimed a magic blast at me at Virgil. "Get down!" I shouted, dragging Virgil down with me. The blast went over our heads.
   She pounced at us. We rolled away in time and I was able to nick her side. She snarled in response.
   Remus tried to hit her from behind, but she was faster. She blasted him with magic knocking him and Emile out. Virgil blasted her with a ball of magic. She turns towards him and made a giant ball in between her hands. Virgil did the same.
   At the same time, they blasted at each other. The beams collided in the middle. They both were concentrated on overtaking the other.
   Melissa put in extra magic and overtook Virgil and blasted him into a dirty mattress. Virgil slumped against it, knocked out.
   She turns towards me and raised her sword. I raised my magic sword in return. She must have run out of power. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Logan hugging Patton. Whatever he's doing must be working.
    We both stood in a ready stance. At the same time, we attacked each other. Our swords clashed together.
    We attacked, dodged, and blocked each other. We fought for a good 20 minutes before I stumbled back and she hit my sword from my hand. I fell to the ground and my sword skidded away from me.
    She strode over to me. "Looks like you lose Prince Roman. Now say goodbye." She raised her sword when I got an idea. I stood up, grabbed my regular sword, and stabbed her. She screamed in agony and as she sunk to the ground she managed to slice a semi-deep cut in my side.
   "Gah!" I yelled out, pressing my wound to try and stop the bleeding. The other started to wake up. Remy first, then Janus, Remus, and Emile. Remy rushed to my side as I took a knee.
   "Lay down," Remy instructed. I laid on my back. "This is going to leave a scar and might hurt, but it'll save your life." Remy pressed his hands to my cut. I felt the magic flow from his hand to my wound and stitch it up.
   A wave of exhaustion hit me. I tried to stay awake and get up to check on Virgil. "Babes you need to lay down. I'll check on Virgil." Remy said. Remus, Janus, and Emile had crowded around me. Remy and Janus getting up to go check on Virgil was the last thing I saw before I passed out.
