Amanda’s POV:
“Thanks, Brit. This is the best night I ever spent with my best friend,” I say, smiling happily. “You can count on me,” she says, smiling cutely. “Okay, see you tomorrow then,” I get out of the car and wave her goodbye. She blows me a flying kiss.
“Love ya!” I shout as she leaves.
I open the door. A freaking aura suddenly surrounds me as I step into the house. Dad is standing right in front of the door and his face is totally frightening me.
“Having fun, eh?” he smiles cynically. I lost my words. “Do you have something to tell me, Amanda?” he continues. “Um, no,” I answer, trying to sound cool but my hands slightly shaking. A thing suddenly flashes into my head as I look into Dad’s eyes.
Christina. Oh god, I almost forgot about her. Her handbag is still hanging on my shoulder. He found out already. I’m dead. I’m dead. I’m FREAKING DEAD!
“Liar,” a word that flows out of his mouth tugs me deeply inside. “I never taught you to be this bad, Amanda. You are embarrassing me!” he shouts in anger. I never being shout like this by my dad. My dad is the one who always speak softly to me. What happens to him? It’s all because of that woman!
“Left Christina in the mall, took her bag away and enjoyed your time with that boy Zack? Great,” he crosses his arm on his chest. “It wasn’t Zack, it’s Brittany!” I speak up, shouting back.
“Still, it’s a mistake,” he lifts his eyebrows and shakes his head. My eyes start to pool with tears.
“You’re grounded for the rest of the year. I’ll send you to school every day and you can only go out just for school. Got it?” he sets a new rule. Being grounded? Great.
“And, don’t let me see you walking with that kid Zack or I’ll make you stop seeing him anymore,” this line tugs me, deeper into the bottom of my heart. “No way!” I speak up and this rule is bullshit! Totally bullshit! “Who cares? I’m with my decision,” his jaws set hard and I can see a burning anger in his eyes.
“Dad, you didn’t understand! I love Zack so much!” I shout at him with tears starting to roll quickly on my cheeks. “You are still seventeen, too young to start all this stupid love thing,” he says, his face getting more serious.
“I hate you, dad! I hate you both!” I run upstairs as quick as my tears flowing on my cheeks. Before I walk into my room I throw Christina’s handbag away. Tonight is the worst.
Fighting with dad is my worst memories.
Adam’s POV:
I sink myself on the sofa. I run my hand through my hair. I feel completely guilty. I hate scolding her, I love her and I need to adore her. But she’s crossing over the line and she had gone too far.
“Honey, what’s all the noise?” she walks towards me, slowly and limping. She sits next to me and squeezes my arm. “You woke up? I’m sorry,” I rest my head on her shoulder and grab her hand. “No, it’s nothing. What happened? You scolded Amanda?” she asks as curiosity starting to show in her dim eyes. “Yeah,” I nod. “She’s stepping on our heads now. She’s gone too far,” I continue.
“I almost forgot about it. There’s no need to scold her like that. She must hurt so much,” she places her palm on my chest, trying to tame my wild anger. “Are you insane, Christina? You hurt more than her!” I straighten my back and look into her eyes. “You always treat her nicely even she had stepped on your head for times. You can’t be like this. I love you, Chris. I hate seeing you hurt and you should know that,” I kiss her hand. She lost her words.
“And I ground her,” I continue, telling everything that she missed just now. “Really? Adam…” she sighs. I don’t know why she sounds like she’s blaming me more than Amanda, the one who supposed to be blamed. “She’s a teenager, you know that,” she says with a low tone. “A teenager with a bad attitude,” I release a big sigh. She shook her head. “And what’s about the kid Zack? I heard about it too,” she asks. “I prevent her from seeing that boy. I hate that boy,” I answer.
“Why?” she asks. Why? I don’t quite sure. “He’s turning Amanda into such a bad girl,” I answer nonchalantly. “Are you sure? He’s a good boy in my sight,” she expresses. “And I think Amanda should learn about love in her age. She’s a beautiful teen, she deserves a boyfriend,” she continues before I could say anything. “A stupid boyfriend? Ridiculous,” I say, smiling cynically.
“Um, I think all this makes me sleepy. You’re sleeping with me, right?” I ask and lift my butt off the sofa. “Stupid question,” she smiles cynically. I laugh and lend my hand to help her standing. “You want me to carry you to bed?” I ask, pointing to her feet. “Never mind, I still can walk,” she smiles sweetly but I still help her walk to the room. I lay her on the bed and kiss her forehead.
Sex? Quit it. I need to refrain myself until she feels okay, maybe?
