The night air was cold on their skin. They were absolutely silent as Christina and Aria led them into Hogwarts. Dumbledore had shown Christina a few ways in and out of the school. The large group of them easily slipped down a small tunnel and into a cellar. It was even colder in the cellar. Carefully and silently, the girls began to lead the witches and wizards up the stairs.
Aria slid her hand up the railing to the right of the stairs. The feel of the metal against her skin made her shiver. Her breath appeared in front of her as she sighed but Christina quickly whipped around to cover her mouth. Aria was confused by Christina's sudden urgency but she soon understood as Christina pointed up at the barred door.
Aria could see the shadows of guards passing by the doors. When she was sure that they had passed, Christina pushed the door open slightly and checked all around the room until she was sure that they were alone. She quickly waved the group through the doorway and down the hallway. Once at the end of the hall, they reached a large wooden door and Fred stepped forward to open it. It swung open on its hinges and they were greeted by the large room of Gryffindors.
Aria stared at them all in their uniforms. Christina leaned over to Aria and whispered in her ear "I've never seen so much red and gold in my life." This comment made Aria laugh a little bit but she held back not wanting to give themselves away. The Gryffindors were facing the other way and hadn't seen them come in.
Christina use this advantage to have a little fun. Reaching into her boot, she pulled out her wand and sent sparks flying through the air and bursting into fireworks. Aria pulled Christina's wand out of her hand and gave her a menacing glare.
"You're going to give us away!" she shrieked.
"No I'm not." Christina muttered back.
Aria looked down to find that her normal street clothes were slowly shifting into Gryffindor robes. Christina held out her hand and Aria placed her wand back into it. The sparks burst into fireworks above the students and they looked up at them in awe. Then, almost all at once, the Gryffindors realized who the fireworks had come from. They burst into cheers and many of the students charged out at their group.
Christina was all smiles for a moment but she couldn't help but see through the corner of her eye, a certain red head making his way out of the room. She charged across the room and pushed him into a wall.
"Fred...what do you think you're doing?"
"I...I...."
"Save it. I know that you're going to see Anastasia. Just don't get caught, treat her well, and avoid doing anything stupid."
Fred smiled and pulled her close to him in a warm hug. Christina was caught by surprise. After patting him on the back awkwardly, she pulled out of the hug and sent him off to the Slytherin common room. Christina turned back to the Gryffindors who were hugging and catching up with the group. As soon as she stepped forward, the room went silent and they stared at her in awe.
"What?" she asked clearly confused.
Everything was silent until Aria whispered something barely audible to Christina. Finally understanding, Christina drew away from Aria and looked out over the sea of students.
"Now I'm sure you've all heard that Voldemort is coming?"
The room nodded along with her. "I'm sure you all know how he can be. He is a merciless creature that feeds on your fear and suffering. He will kill you..." everyone in the room exchanged a worried glance "unless you know what you're doing."
"What are you talking about?" Neville Longbottom had stood up to speak.
"You all need training. That's what we're here for. So...grab your wands and other weapons, you're going to need them. They are all going to train you." she said backing up and gesturing to the group before her.
The students all began to discuss their predicament while Aria backed up towards Christina. "What do you mean Christina?"
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"You aren't joining us?"
"No, Aria. I'm sorry. I made a promise to the Dark Lord..."
"You're still working for him?!"
"You didn't let me finish. I made a promise to the Dark Lord but I'll be damned if I'm going to let him take Hogwarts without a fight."
