Hesitantly, Aria and Christina got out of their seats and headed for the door. Nobody ever came to Malfoy Manor without a formal invitation. Draco followed closely behind incase this was an ambush. The door slowly creaked open as Aria pulled on the handle. As it opened, it revealed a farmiliar face. One with freckles, so many in fact that nobody could count them. And tucked back slightly was that beautiful red hair.
George Weasley had arrived. Aria's jaw dropped and without a thought, dragged him into the kitchen, leaving Christina and Draco at the door. Aria paused in front of George. He looked slightly different to her. All was silent for a moment but Aria broke the silence by reaching out to hug him. George ducked back and Aria looked puzzled.
"What's wrong?"
"I didn't come all this way to be forced into a hug like all the years before."
"If you didn't come to patch things up then why are you here?"
"Well, Christina sent me a letter saying that you needed as much help as possible and begged me to come as soon as possible."
"Oh. So, you only came because you had to."
"Aria I'm going to make one thing very clear to you. I'm tired of all the drama. It gets to be really stupid and to be honest...I'm glad you canceled the wedding."
Tears welled up in Aria's eyes and she tried to hide the fact that her heart was breaking. It felt as though she had just been stabbed in the stomach and she was gasping for air. She began begging and pleading in her mind that this just be a dream and nothing more. Her only true love was standing before her but she couldn't help but feel like he was somewhere else as well.
"Fine but if that's how you feel, then why did you even bother to show up. You didn't have to you know. Just because Christina asked doesn't mean that you have to."
"Your sister can be very persuasive."
"I know but still if this is all you have to tell me, then why even bother?" There was silence between the two. "ANSWER ME!"
"I DON'T LOVE YOU!"
"I might say the same thing about you. Now if you don't mind...GET OUT!"
After Aria's outburst, George began for the front door and walked out onto the lawn. He paused for a moment on the lawn and looked out at the path before him. Something was wrong. A devious smile stretched itself across his face and there was an evil glimmer in his eyes. The eyes that used to be brown had turned a deep violet. The red hair grew out and curled itself up into crazy black waves.
He, whoever he was, raised his hand with the long purple nails on it and waved his wand before him. And without a single glance behind him, he had apparated off of the lawn.
