Thinking about you recently.
And it always conflicts me
So I don't know how to feel.

For a moment it's great,
Cause I remember all the good times.
I start to remember how happy you made me.
And in that moment I smile.

But after that moment the sadness creeps in,
Cause then I remember the bad times too.
And then the hurt sets in all over again.
Then I remember why I'm not in your life.

I know life's not pretty nor perfect,
But what you did and made me out to be,
Hurt worse than anything else.
I wish sometimes I could forget you altogether.

But because I love you, I can't.
I use to dream about what a life with you,
Could look like but then it hit me,
It was just a dream, nothing more.

I'll always love you but hate you,
Just the same.
I wish you well in life and maybe
One day I'll learn to forgive.
