(F/G) - favorite game

((Y/N) pov)

The time has come for my two American friends to leave. If I said I hated it would be an understatement. Honestly, I would want them to stay here forever. But that's not how life works.

The pair had family back there and I would never pull them away from it. We were now standing in front of George's apartment. I had two of their bags in hand helping them get all their stuff to the car. George will drive us to the airport we'll say goodbye and that's it. Their trip will be over and we will be stuck an ocean away again.

We walked down the stairs and out of the apartment building. George's car was not too far away just standing in the parking lot opposite of us. We walked through the parking lot making sure a car wouldn't run us over.

George clicked a button unlocking the car letting us put the luggage in the back while he went to sit down. I placed the bags in the car and called out 'shotgun' running up to sit in the front. I could hear groaning from both of the males I left behind. I opened the door swiftly getting in.

George chuckled waiting for the duo to get in. When we were all in our seats he started the car beginning the hour journey to the airport. I jammed along to the songs on the radio. At some point, Nick joined me as we screeched the lyrics. Clay just hummed along while George tried to pay attention to the road.

We finally arrived at the airport and once again I helped carry the bags. The duo went to check in the begs while I talked with George. I have been thinking about going to the US and visiting a bunch of my friends there. Maybe even Techno if he lets me. I looked up to see the duo walking up to us. We walked around the airport's shops just checking out the random overpriced items.

It soon came time for Nick to board the plane. I sighed as we walked to his gate. We couldn't help but almost get lost in the maze of people. We stopped in front of one of the gates and Nick checked the line. He then turned to us jumping into my arms giving me a big hug. I almost fell over and Clay and George joined us. We just stood there hugging like idiots.

Nick turned around to see the line almost disappeared and frowned. He ruled my hair gave Clay a fist bump and boops George's nose. He then waved goodbye and I just stood frozen. Who knows when I'll get to see him again. Someone patted my shoulder and I moved my head to the side only to see it was Clay. He pointed at the gate a few feet behind us.

His plane has to yet start boarding but we knew we would have to say goodbye soon. I turned to George who was giving me a small smile and threw myself at the green-eyed male. His face turned into one of surprise as I clung onto him. He wrapped his arms around me returning the hug. Suddenly a lady's voice came through the radio saying Clay's plane was ready for boarding. Clay gave George a side hug before disappearing into the crowd of people with a wave.

And just like that, it's over. We head for the car in silence. It was a hell of Christmas I can tell you that.

~~~
I looked over the clock just waiting for it to hit 00:00. Unfortunately, that was pretty far ahead since it was only nine in the afternoon. We had a good few hours to go till this year ended. I sat at the sofa switching through channels looking for anything to do. George was out with his family leaving me alone in the apartment. I couldn't blame him he didn't get to spend Christmas with them because of us.
I decided to turn the TV off and just be on the computer instead. I slumped into my room and sat down in the chair. I turned on the computer scrolling through Twitter while it booted up. I decided to play (F/G). I spend hours in front of the monitor not even realizing it. I snapped out only when my phone went off with an alarm I set up.
It was two minutes until the new year and I rushed to get my coat. I grabbed my keys walking outside into the cold streets just to watch the fireworks. I could hear people chanting as the last ten seconds approached. I smiled looking at the dark sky above me.
I grabbed my phone out of the pocket.
I started the recording.
I filmed the dark sky.
'Ey bois-'
6
'It's about to hit midnight over here'
5
'I'm not sure if you can even hear me through all the ruckus.'
4
'I just want to thank you all for this amazing year.'
3
I switched the camera so my face was now visible.
2
The fireworks went off lighting the sky in colors.
1
'Happy New year!' I shouted.
I giggled recording the fireworks just for fun when I heard sirens nearby. I turned off the recording. Soon an ambulance sped past us filling the walls of the dark town with blue and red colors for just a few seconds. I sighed hoping the pure soul that got injured at this time would be fine. Who am I kidding it might have just been someone who drank too much.
I turned back to the sky to see it filled with red explosions. I smiled and soon turned around returning to the apartment building and my plain old gamer life.
