Love Forever (Newt X Reader)

Time Skip- 1 year later

I stand up from my nice warm spot in the sun. The glade was bustling with happiness! The box came up today! My best friend's Newt and Chuck run iver to me with some lunch. Chuck was a short, twelve year old, curly haired boy. He was the sweetest but, he LOVED to talk. "Y/N Y/N THE BOX IS COMING UP SOON, HERE HAVE A SANDWICH!" Chuck yells with his hand outstretched, clutching a sandwich. The boys skid to a stop in front of me, puffing air, completely out of breathe. I giggle and take the sandwich before patting the ground beside me, signaling them to sit.  They tiredly plop dow with their own sandwiches and start to eat. As I bit in my ham and cheese sandwich, I decide to start up a conversation. "I'm so excited for the box to come up! I wonder who will be in it!" I had a massive smile on my face. "I know! Me too! I can't wait to see the new greenie!" Newt's smile was just as big as mine. Since I was the den mother, I got to take the greenie's on tours. I'm kinda like second in commamd like Newt but, I do all different jobs, basically helping wherever I can and taking care of the boys. Except, I had a tiny crush on Newt, but we won't talk about that. "Do I get to help you today? Oh boy! I'm excited!" Chuck chirps. I laugh and reply "Yes, ofc you can help me Chuckie!" I ruffle his hair and he grins at me. Then, I hear the box siren. We all scarf down our sandwich remainders and run as fast as we could to the box. I beat the boys because of Newt's limp and Chuck me twelve. I hear the bang of the box shifting into place. I grab one side door and Gally grabs the other. We pull it open to reveal a tall blonde haired girl with blue eyes. She was really pretty, way prettier then me. I hear the boys wolf whistle and cat call. I also notice a tiny little black puppy in there with her. I jump fown before hollering "Shut your traps before I throw you all off the cliff myself!" That was Alby's favorite saying and I loved using it. I squat down next to the girl and she stares at me like I have two heads. "Who are you?" She snaps sassily. Great, another Minho. I think to myself. "I, shuckface am Y/N, the den mother of the glade." I snap back. She seemed suprise by my sass back. I guess hanging around Minho starts to rub off on ya. "Now, do you want a tour from me or one of the boys?" She stares aroumd before her eyes land on Newt. Just wonderful. I think again. "Him, I want the cute blonde haired one. What's his name?" She smirks at him. I roll my eyes. "That's Newt, my best friend and be careful, he can be a little over powering for an overdramatic princess like you." I look at Newt and he trys not to laugh. I grin at the boys and hear some chuckles. " Do you know your name?" I ask her. "It's Sonya. And I want my tour now." I roll my eyes. "Ok 'Sonya' I suggest you watch your mouth and get up right now." I say grabbing her arm and dragging her up onto the grass. "You got my shirt all dirtyyyy." She complains. "Oh get up Shuckface and go to Newt." I sigh, she was gonna be a handful. I see her eyes wander to Newt and she suddenly flips her hair over her shoulder and struts over to him. Ugh, a girl prettier then me is now obesessed with my best friend who I like. Let's see how this plays out. I felt like screaming or crying or dying. Anything to numb the pain of the knowing he's gonna take her not me. I feel tears come to my eyes and jump in the box quickly, scooping up the poor, fragile dog. I walk with the dog in my arms to the hut. I see a tag. 'To Y/N, this is now your dog. Protect him. His names Dallas.' This is was my dog! Oh boy was this cool! I had a dog! I grab some water, cloth, ointment and bandages. I clean the puppy's wounds and put some ointment on them before wrapping them in bandages. I pick the dog up and put him in a little pen in the corner. He was still asleep. I run to Fry and ask for some cooked  groumd beef and some cooked chicken. He hands it to me and I fill a dish with water and a second one with the dog foid mix. I scurry back to the hut and see the dog's trying to stand. I gently push it to sit and give it the food and water. It slowly starts to eat. I sigh in success. This was the beginning of a wonderful doggie friendship..
