"is there anything i can do to be better? please y/n/n i'm sorry i really am" finn pleaded for his life through the phone in his hotel room. he was frustrated at himself for letting the love of his life go and for realizing it after he did it. "finn please i told you i need time please just- just let me be" y/n sniffled in anger, thinking of how finn was stupid for breaking up with her over a stupid reason and wanting her once more. "no look, i know, i know what i did a-and i want to make it right it was stupid to think that i knew how much i needed you until you were gone-" "for god's sake finn are you hearing yourself right now?" y/n cute him off leading finn to take a deep breath. "i'm sorry i really am o-okay? and whether you'll let me try again or not, i still will. i want you to know that i'll live with my mistakes and- and i'll do better" finn paused letting a few tears run on his cheeks while y/n held back hers on the phone. "i'll miss you and i love you so much, i'm sorry i won't bother you anymore" as he pressed the red button he felt like his heart has been ripped and stamped on the floor.

he knew he wasn't doing any good while they were on their long distance relationship. together with their busy schedules, fights would often happen. but it would only be a few times they'd resolve it. y/n however, still wanted to stay, believing that they could fix everything and be genuinely happy again. not until finn broke up with her cause he thought he didn't need her anymore. but he did. he still does and with that thought, it will take a long time before he gets her back in his arms again. if it was really meant to be. "i wish you could stay forever with me y/n" he mumbled while staring at y/n's picture on his phone, smiling and hurting at the same time.

y/n on the other hand felt the same way. no matter how hard she tried pushing the thought of finn away it made her want & need him more. "i wish we could rewind and start fresh together" she whispered while brushing her fingers at the picture frame of both of them on the day of her graduation. "but it hurts so much" she curled herself, crying and slowly drifting into sleep, hoping that maybe she'd see him in her dreams.
