y/n looked at herself in the mirror for the nth time, admiring her gold chiffon gown that fell on her ankles. she twirled around and nodded to herself
"you got this" she was interrupted by a honk outside which meant tyler was already outside. y/n rushed downstairs and open a door, revealing a tall boy with gelled hair. "h-hey tyler" y/n blushed shyly. "hey " tyler winked, eyeing y/n up and down. "oh! y/n dear lemme take a pic" y/n's mom flashed the camera as tyler placed his hand on y/n's waist. "mom, we're leaving bye!" y/n giggled and waved goodbye.

flashing and colorful lights wandered around the school gym, and y/n can't help but be mesmerized by it. "i want you to meet my friends" tyler whispered into her ear, sending shivers down y/n's spine. "of course" she looked up as tyler grinned.

though not from afar, was finn eyeing down the pair as he sighed feeling in defeat. "they kinda look good don't you agree?" millie sat down at one of the empty chairs in their shared table, joining the miserable boy. "sure whatever" he mumbled earning a confused look from millie. "wh- no" her eyes widened in shock. "shit i'm sorry i totally forgot you like-" "it's fine mills, it doesn't matter anyways". in his eyes, y/n seemed happy laughing with tyler and all of his other jock friends.

hours passed and finn got tired of dancing with caleb and gaten. he made his way to the table and saw y/n with sadie's arm wrapped around her, as if sadie was comforting y/n. "hey" both sadie and y/n's head shot up, catching their attention. "what happened?" he asked taking a seat down beside y/n who was down. "that jerk said it was only just a dare, i'm not surprised he's not here chasing after y/n" sadie rolled her eyes in anger. "look i'm gonna go with millie and gaten, join us if you can yeah?" sadie told y/n earning a nod from the girl. sadie sighed and gave her a side hug and a kiss on the temple. y/n remained silent, ignoring finn's presence since she thought that he thinks that she was so stupid to not believe him. not until y/n felt a long stare at the corner of her eye, she sighed. "i know i'm stupid okay? geez i know you're not saying it but your eyes says so" finn took a deep breath, hoping that he'd say the right words. "i don't think you are y/n/n, i get the feeling anyways you know, thinking that they might like you and stuff" he shrugged making y/n chuckle dryly. "that's difficult, i'm sorry about that". "you don't really have to be" he smiled and y/n copied his actions.

"wait you like someone how come i don't know this?" a lighbulb flickered in her head as her mind was filled in curiosity. "i don't know it's not much of a conversation starter or a conversation that's interesting at all". he laughed, fiddling with the fabric of the table. "tsk are you sure about that?" y/n raised an eyebrow as finn did the same. "c'mon i wanna know, what's she like" she nudged his shoulder and faced his direction, giving him full attention. "she's great and beautiful, i tell her almost everyday but she still doesn't believe it, she just shrugs it off and makes a silly face."
y/n's smile then began to fade, slowly picking up who finn was referring to. "i like how her eyes sparkled when the person who she's expecting to ask her to prom did it, and she danced. awfully" y/n laughed and blushed, looking down. "but it's cool, cause she's happy about it. and i like seeing her happy. i'd actually do anything for that to happen" his eyes then met y/n who looks sorry. "y/n/n it's okay you don't really have to you know."

"yeah but i want to"
y/n moved closer, looking deeply into his eyes. "maybe we could do it if we try you know. i do like it whenever i see you happy too. that counts" she joked.

"are you sure?" he mumbled as their faces were inches away from each other. y/n giggled and closed the gap between them, both feeling butterflies inside of them.

it's weird how finn feeds us content then goes to nothing then returns by posting a picture of a movie scene from his tv :)))))
