"No, no... That doesn't sound right. Ugh!"

Son Yejin deletes the note that she had just spent the last hour constructing. It's not the first time she's done it today.

The Dispatch article had come out a couple of hours ago, and the confirmation from their respective agencies was set to go live in less than half an hour.

Yejin knows that she doesn't really have to post anything to Instagram, but she wants to.

She wants to share her happiness with the world, shout it out on top of a rooftop.

But, what to say?

How do you tell the world that you've found the love of your life, the man you want to spend the rest of your life with?

How do you sum up the love of a lifetime in three to five sentences?

Yejin sighs, looking out of the window the home she had just bought with Bin.

This is the first time she's going to share anything so personal, the first time she's going to bare her heart out for all of the world to see in over twenty years.

When it comes to work-related activities, she has no problem putting herself out there.

But this is her heart she's putting on the line.

As much as she says that other people's opinions don't matter, it all still does affects her. She's only human after all.

Maybe that's where all of this sudden shyness is coming from.

"How is it going?" asks Bin as he hands her a cup of tea and sits beside her.

"Not good. I don't know what to say," she sighs sadly.

Bin puts an arm around her and gives her a reassuring squeeze. "You know you don't have to do this, right? Our agencies' statements should be enough."

"I know," says Yejin as she leans into him. "But I want to do this. For you, for us."

"Then just say what's in your heart," he Bin, kissing the top of her head and wrapping his other arm around her.

As Yejin sits wrapped in the arms of the man she loves with all of her heart, the words just seem to come to her.

Yejin goes to Instagram and selects a photo she had taken of the flower arrangement Bin had gotten her for the holidays.

And then, she just types.

The new year is bright.

It's the first time I'm standing before you with a personal story, rather than a work-related one, so I'm feeling very shy.

Hmm...Mm...Mm..

Yes, it happened that way..^.^

Haha...

Mmm... ^^;;

She smiles to herself, thinking back to the way they denied things in December of 2019.

I don't know what to say, but I felt like I should at least say something to you all..

It's really awkward and strange..^^;

I am thankful to have met a good person, and will work hard to cultivate the relationship nicely... ☺️

Yejin looks up to Bin smiling down at her, and she knows that no other words can describe him to her.

She is well aware that every relationship requires work, and she is sure that she and Bin are both willing to put in that work.

She wouldn't be doing this otherwise.

In my heart, I always cherish the love and support that you've all given me..

I hope more good things happen to you in the new year.

Stay healthy. bbyong ☺️

Yejin clicks Share, then shows the post to Bin.

He reads it quickly, then looks up from her phone with a small smile.

"It's good. Now come on, let's go make dinner."

Yejin nods, leaving her phone on the coffee table as she gets up.

Bin and Yejin prepare dinner together as they usually do, moving around the kitchen of their home while talking about everything and anything.

She couldn't ask for anything more.

After dinner, when the dishes have all been washed and put away, Yejin remembers that she should maybe check her phone.

She picks it up from the table and opens Instagram, her eyes immediately tearing up when she does.

She now has over a million likes on the post, and she's even gained a couple thousand followers in just a couple of hours.

Thousands of people have left messages under the post in Korean, English, and other languages, all of them congratulating her and Bin and wishing them well.

She reads a couple of them, her eyes tearing up from all of the love from people she doesn't even know.

"What's wrong, Yejin?" asks Bin, his tone full of concern.

Ever reliable Bin, always so ready to protect her from whatever and whoever, no matter what.

"Nothing," she says, wiping her tears away with her free hand. "It's all good."

She shows him her phone and all of the sweet messages that were left on her post, and he smiles as he reads them.

He then smiles that sweet smile that's just for her before taking her in his arms and kissing her sweetly.

"I'm happy for us, Mrs. Kim," he says with nothing but love and adoration in his eyes.

"Ya! You can't call me that yet!" she says with a laugh, playfully slapping his chest.

"You're already Mrs. Kim in my mind, Yejin-ah," he says sincerely, pulling her into his arms again.

Their love story in the drama was an impossible fairy tale that somehow worked in spite of all of the odds.

It was about destiny, coincidence, and serendipity.

And now, they themselves are living that fairy tale out.

They've come so far, and now they have the rest of their lives to spend with each other.

To have the world's support was just a bonus.

She has everything she needs, right here.
