Two Weeks Later
Somehow, Ellie convinced me to go on a date with Scotty.
This was after I told her everything that happened with Eric. She was shocked to know that I left in the middle of the night to ride a train every now and again, and begged me to take her one night. She wouldn't shut up about it, so I promised her I would. Of course, she had her fears if Eric were on the train, but then decided that the two of us could take him if the situation ever occurred. I definitely did not believe that, but she wasn't afraid. Though, she should be. I wasn't even sure I wanted to ride the train anymore.
My parents found out about Eric cornering me. Someone who was also distributing that day saw what had happened, and the second we got back, my parents already knew before I could tell them myself. Thankfully, whoever told them didn't know that Eric and I had run into each other before, so my parents still had no idea about the times I've ridden the train.
"Are you excited?" My mother asked, pulling me from my thoughts.
"Hm?" I asked.
I stood infront of the mirror hanging on my bedroom door, holding a yellow dress to my figure.
"About your date with Scotty tonight! He's very handsome."
I shrugged, throwing the material onto my bed. "You don't think he's a little...off?"
"What do you mean?"
"I don't know...sometimes it feels like he forces his kindness."
"Oh, honey," She shook her head. "He's still new to this place. He seems very comfortable though. Just give him a try. You know, I wasn't a huge fan of your dad he first time I went out with him-"
"What was that?" My father questioned, walking into the room.
"Our first date you didn't even shower!" My mom recalled, laughing.
"I had just come from farming, I didn't have time to!"
He plopped onto my bed, right ontop of my dress. I sighed and yanked it from underneath him. I made my way to the bathroom and locked myself inside to get ready.
I didn't have time to reminisce with them.

Scotty picked me up an hour later and the pair of us walked around Amity. He arrived at the door with a bouquet of flowers for me, and I sheepishly accepted them. No one ever did that for me before.
"You look very nice." He told me, his hand finding mine.
I intertwined our fingers and smiled. "Thank you. So do you."
"Thanks," He smirked down at me. "I wanna show you something."
"Lead the way."
I followed him and together we strayed a ways from headquarters. His palm was sweaty against mine when we finally reached our destination. I had to let go and wipe my own hand on my skirt to get the claminess off me.
"Look up," He said, pointing towards the night sky.
My breath hitched in my throat. The sight was absolutely beautiful. It was as though I could see every star in the sky, shinning so brightly with the moon that we didn't need a flash light to guide our way around.
"Wow," I gasped. "I don't think I've ever seen so many stars in the sky at once."
"Me either. Neat, huh?"
I hummed a reply. I began spinning in circles, looking up at the moon. It seemed even prettier in motion. Sooner rather than later, I had to stop I became so dizzy. I wobbled a bit and Scotty grabbed on to me to steady my figure.
