Chapter XIV

When they were finished playing, Mary was panting, she was slowly drifting to sleep, but she still wanted to talk to (Y/N).

"Hey (Y/N)?" the taller girl looked at her, humming "Wh-... do you ... argh."

"What is it?" (Y/N) raised her eyebrow.

"I don't-..." Mary pinched the bridge of her nose, frustrated. Argh fuck it she thought and pulled (Y/N)s shirt, bringing her closer and kissing her. It wasn't a hungry, lustful kiss, rather soft and loving. (Y/N) wasn't used to those. Mary put her hand on the taller girl nape, pulling her closer, while one of (Y/N)s hands went up to the blondes cheek, caressing it and the other was positioned beside Marys head, for support.

When they were done, the two of them were out of breath.

"What was that for?" (Y/N) asked.

"Ugh I like you dumbass" Mary buried her face in a pillow from embarrassment.

"Yeah I figured, we wouldn't fuck if we didn't like each other..."

"Damn it how can you be so dumb? I like like you idiot." the blonde snickered "And I think Yumeko does too..."

"Like I said, I know, a lot of people like me, I'm awesome" (Y/N) was super confused now, which only angered Mary more.

"Are you fucking serious right now?! I like you as in I want to be your girlfriend you moron!" Mary yelled.

"Oooohhh..." (Y/N)s eyes widened in realization.

"Of course I don't care if you feel the same ... I'm not interested in you..." despite the biggest effort, Mary could feel tears in her eyes.

"But you just said-" the taller girl was interrupted by Mary shouting.

"I SAID I DON'T CARE" the blonde was just about to storm out, but she was stopped by a pair of arms wrapping around her and pinning her to the wall.

"Mary don't go, lets talk about this-"

"We already did, now let go of me!" Mary huffed struggling against the other girl holding her. In response (Y/N) tightened her embrace around her waist and leaned her head on her shoulder. Mary slowly wrapped her arms around the taller girls shoulders, then the two of them started sobbing quietly.

"I'm sorry..." (Y/N) left soft kisses on the blondes shoulder, neck and cheek. With her right hand, she delicately caressed the side of her face, as if she was going to break when touched too hard, then (Y/N) kissed her sweetly, with care.

"Stop.." Mary pushed the taller girl away "I-I don't think we should continue this... just... stay away from me." she started walking out, only to be stopped again.

"B-but you're still mu houspet, which means I can't stay away." (Y/N) smiled at at he thought that they could work this out.

"I know, I'll pay you back this week."

When Mary was no longer in the apartment, (Y/N) punched the wall from frustration.

"Fucking hell" she muttered to herself, trying to think of a solution, how she can make it up to the blonde. It was sad, not only because she has lost a friend but she also felt something for Mary, although she wasn't ready to admit that. Before she could fully lose herself in her thoughts she was interrupted by a maid tapping her shoulder.

"Are you okay (Y/N)? You look pretty upset, and the girl-"

"Yeah, I'm fine... " she said, but it was clear she was lying.

"... if you say so. We finished, so we'll be going, enjoy your day." the maid smiled warmingly and left the young girl alone.

(Y/N) was too distracted by the situation earlier, she couldn't focus on her homework. Not that she cared, she rarely ever did it anyway. Before she went to sleep she got a text, when she saw who it was from, her mood lightened a little.
