" Adora Blake, you better get your butt out of that bed right this second!"
My eyes fly open, it's finally time, I'm going to Hogwarts.
" Adora what did I say?" my mother said as she reached my door.
" I know mom, I have to make a good impression since it's my first day and all and being early will give me the benefit of meeting new people" I say
" Exactly, none of your old friends will be here, you need to meet people and make a good impression on the teachers as well" My mom scolded
" I don't see how being to the train early will make much of a difference with my teachers mom, I don't even see them until tomorrow"I complain
" We're leaving in 50 minutes, be ready" my mom said as she struts down the staircase down to the main floor.
Okay, i'll be ready" I call back.
I'm terribly excited, today will be my first day at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. As a forth year that doesn't entirely work out in my favor because everyone else knows each other from previous years and i'm gonna be the random Beauxbatons Academy kid that no one knows.
I look through my closet from my robes, the ones that I wasn't aloud to wear at Beauxbatons, the soft black material grazes my skin lightly as I slide the multiple components of the outfit on. The dark black fabric make my dirty blonde hair stand out, I apply my favorite shade of pale pink lip gloss to my lips and a small bit of mascara to my lashes before I continue to finish packing up everything into my Hogwarts trunk. I hear my mom calling me from downstairs a slight hint of panic in her voice.
" Adora we need to go, you cannot be late, the train will leave without you and you'll be stuck"
" I'm coming mom" I call as I drag my big trunk don't the stairs while balancing my small owl in her cage on my other hand.
" My dear, do you need any help Adora, you look like your going to fall" my mother calls as she begins to make her way up the stair case to take my owl out of my hands.
"Thanks mom" I call after I reach the bottom of the fairly large staircase.
" Come on, lets go to the car, we need to get going" My mom says as she struts out the door, I swear that she struts everywhere, I guess that's what we get tho, she was a model.
I hop into the passenger side of the car as my mom sticks the keys in the ignition, she gently begins pulling out of the driveway and starts driving down the street away from my home, Though I guess i'll have a new home now.
Eventually we arrive at the train station after the quietest drive that me and my mother have ever taken, usually the car is filled with positive energy but now, the space feels sad and empty, we don't have anything to talk about, my mother never attended hogwarts, she was a muggle, she never knew of magic until she met my father, who was very powerful she says, we rarely talk about him though, for all I know he could be dead.
My mother helps me get all of my bags and my trunk from the back of the car, she stacks it nicely for me on a luggage cart.
" Do you think you'll be fine to get to platform 9 3/4 without me?" She asks with an expression less tone.
" Not really mom, I have no clue where to go" I complain
" I'm sorry but I really won't be any help to you as I don't know how this works" She says, getting frustrated by my actions.
" Fine, i'll go figure it out like I always have to" I yell at her as I storm away.
" Adora, that is no way to speak to your mother" she yells back.
