Chapter 5

Adora's POV

" So let me get this straight" Emily says trying to confirm the story I just told her.

" Draco was trying to talk to you about helping him with something and because of this, George decided to show up to make sure Draco wasn't bothering you causing Draco to be slightly rude towards you during class while still asking for your help while Snape was talking causing Snape to yell at the both of you and assign the both of you to detention?" Emily asks bewildered.

" Short answer, yes" I respond, it's been a week since that class took place and I have just finished telling Emily the whole story for I after the class I just told her I had gotten detention and she nagged me for the reason but being the person I am, I didn't tell her so I could avoid spilling the eager details that none other than Draco Malfoy wanted to ask her out. I just decided to tell her because she really was curious and I felt bad keeping her in complete darkness about the situation, specifically keeping out the topic Draco was so keen on asking fro help with.

" Lucky Draco, he gets to spend a whole detention block with you" Cedric said cutely from the other side of me, him and I have been hanging out a lot in the past week, getting to know each other, he really is a nice person and I can't help but notice why a lot of the girls at school want him.

" I get what you mean Cedric I get what you mean" Emily reply's to him as they share a small smile. That was really weird for me honestly.

"Well, I should really be going, I don't want Snape getting another reason to punish me" I say as I begin to get up.

"Alright, see you later Wifey" Emily says as I walk away, I turn to wave to my friends one more time and notice that they're already gone from the table and walking towards the other exit. Together. Something seems off But I choose to ignore it, I have to go help a certain Slytherin ask out the so-called girl of his dreams.

"So, do have any Ideas of how your gonna ask her out yet?" I ask Draco while I continue to sweep the dusty floor of the potions classroom.

" Um, I was kinda counting on you for some ideas since I don't really know her too well and everything" Draco says quietly.

" Okay, can I ask something?" I say.

"I guess"

"Okay, so if you barely know her, why do you want to ask her out and all?" I begin.

" Well, I don't really know, there's just something about her, anytime were in the same room my eyes are just drawn to her, she's like a lighthouse and i'm the helpless boat following her bright shine thats leading me out of the darkness of the dark and cruel sea" He says shyly.

" Wow, that was kinda deep Draco" I say half making fun of him and half actually surprised at this guy.

" Shut up Blake, I could make your life a living-" Before he's finish I cut him off.

" Okay, I get it Draco, you got a tough guy ego, chill out" I tell him after he's done glaring at me after I cut him off.

" Okay, first thing I gotta ask, you say she's like a light in a sea of darkness, have you met her before this year?" I ask genuinely interested because I've never heard someone talk about someone they just met like that.

" Of course, our families are somewhat close so as children we would always see each other at social events" he says with a small smile thinking about the girl that he's going through all this trouble for.

" I didn't start having feeling towards her until around last year, she seems like such a sweet caring person and if you didn't realize, I don't have a lot of people like that in my life" He says sadly.
