GO READ THE FIRST CHAPTER IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY!! I hope you like this one as well!

Maggie's POV:

I wake up to the screaming of my alarm. I roll over and turn it off, then look outside to see that it's still dark outside. I look at the clock again to see that it's only 4:30 am, the beginning to my very long day of traveling. I crawl out of bed and straight to the bathroom, showering, hoping to look at least a little presentable.

The lack of sleep is something I can't focus on right now as I gather all of my stuff and put it in my parent's car, leaving only enough room for my mom and I to sit. I do one last look through in my room to make sure I haven't forgotten anything when something catches my eye. I lay down on my bed to see one last lonely plastic star sticking to my ceiling. I stand up, balancing on my mattress, and peel the star off my ceiling. I stick it in my pocket as I walk out of the room, ready to start this new chapter of my life.

My mom meets me in the car, her coffee in her hand. She looks up at me with tired eyes and motions to me good morning. I get in the car and turn on the warm air, trying to battle the 40 degree weather outside.

The drive to the airport is quiet, silent even. Mixed emotions of exhaustion and sadness don't leave much room for conversation. Eventually we got to the airport. My mom helps get all of my luggage together, putting it on a cart to get it places easier. She closes the trunk of the car shut and turns to me, her eyes filling up with tears. I was scared this was going to happen.

"Mom, I'll be fine." I reassure her, bringing her in for a hug. "I know, but now who's going to handle your brother." she jokes, wiping her tears away. I let out a laugh, finding myself tear up as well.

"I have to go mom." I tell her, giving her one more hug. "Be careful, but don't forget to live your life. Sometimes you play it safe." she tells me.

"I'll think about it. I love you, I'll call you when I get there." I say, laughing her off, but taking what she says to heart.

"Love you too, hun." she says, waving me off. I take the cart in my hands and make my way to the doors, not looking back.

I make my way to the gate and am immediately seated on the plane. The plane ride takes forever. I get stuck sitting between this older couple who argued about anything and everything. At one point they asked me to leave the row so that they could argue alone. Needless to say it was less than convenient.

The layover flight wasn't for a few hours so I ate brunch, read some of my book, and of course, made a list.

To Do when I arrive:

Buy groceries

Unpack

Go to the bank

Make sure everything is right with the apartment.

I almost drift off to sleep when I hear my flight being called to board. I quickly boarded the flight, luckily this time getting the window seat. There is only one seat beside me this time, so I wait patiently for whoever it is to get seated so that we can just get the pleasantries out of the way.

I hear some murmurs around me, causing me to turn around to see the man sitting beside me. I look between him and my ticket, making sure that I am sitting in the right spot. He looks over to me, smiles, and sticks out his hand, introducing himself.

"Hi, I'm Harry, nice to meet you." he says as I shake his hand. Now I have two options. I could play it cool, or I could make a complete fool of myself. Of course I go with the second option. I trip over my words like the dork that I am.
