"Understand?!" Jean shouts out as I finally catch up, huffing.
"We're leaving Bertholdt up to them! We have to trust they can handle him!" Jean says as I look back to the wall where I can see Armin resting on Eren's shoulder.
'I know I shouldn't stress about Armin, but I can't help but think that he's gonna do something...bad?'
"As for us, we need to keep Reiner at a safe distance. Fly just close enough to get his attention!" Jean says as we get closer to Reiner who began to run at us.
'Bad isn't the word...Sacrificial? It sounds like Armin...'
"Got it!" Connie, Sasha, and Mikasa say as Jean looks back to me.
"Stop worrying! They'll be fine! Just gotta have faith in them. Plus, when have one of Armin's plans gone to shit?" Jean asks as I furrow my brow.
"Thanks, Jean...I kinda needed that..." I say as he gives me a side smile.
"All right!" Jean yells as Reiner stomps closer to us.
*WOOSH*
My eyes widen as I look behind me, "Did he-? He ignored us!" Connie shouts as we all wobble in the air from Reiner's gust of wind.
"Damn it! Looks like he's just focused on Eren," Jean says as Mikasa grunts.
"Fine! Then, we'll just have to kill him!" Mikasa shouts as she flys over to him as Jean ducks.
"Mikasa!" Jean shouts as she heads over to Reiner.
'I wonder if Mikasa thinks how I think. After all, we all grew up together and she was always very protective of him.'
*BOOM*
The thunder spear's explosion broke my thoughts as Mikasa had thrown her spears into Reiner's back leg, throwing him off.
*CRASH*
"Hey!" Jean shouts as Reiner crashes into the ground, along with some houses.
"If we can't get Reiner's attention, we'll have to finish him off here! Our job is to protect Eren and Armin," Mikasa says as Jean's eyes widen.
"Yeah, I know that," Jean responds as his face bunches up again.
"We've only got three thunder spears! That's all but-" Connie says as he and Sasha catch up.
"We've gotta try anyway! Because one thing is guaranteed, if we don't fight, there's no way in hell we can win!" I say as we fly up on Reiner who looks up at the five of us.
'The hunk of rock is looking up at us like he doesn't know what hit em'. Mikasa being strong enough, she got his one leg with only one thunder spear. Is he really that confused? That blind?! All they care about is getting Eren. I get a slight advantage though, they want me alive...They can't kill me...' I think as we get up on roofs, surrounding Reiner who is staring blankly into my eyes.
I break eye contact with Reiner to look upon the wall where Eren and Armin were sitting.
'You know, I can hear Armin from here...'
"The real question is, how long can I hold out for?" Armin says as my eyes widen.
'It's faint, but I can hear him!'
"It's on me. If I give up too soon, the plan will fail, no matter how good it is," Armin says as Armin looks down at me.
'Hold on...Armin... You're not...'
