V balanced playfully on the kerbs while making some exaggerated movements and faces causing Jeongguk to giggle at him as the pair walked through the busy city. Cars and horse carriages kept passing by while they were in their own little world, giggling and teasing each other. They've walked for quite a while and Jeongguk could feel his legs starting to ache.

"Hey, V-hyung, when will we be there?"

The said hybrid looked up at the other and smiled slightly. "In a while I guess."

Jeongguk then stopped and looked questionly at V. "In a while? Aren't there any faster ways or short cuts?"

The tiger hybrid stopped balancing on the kerbs and looked at the other. He then sighed and walked up beside the bunny. "Look, Gguk. Do you see that man over there? Beside the black horse carriage?" V asked, leaning a bit down so he was the same height as Jeongguk and pointed over at the same short man in a blue uniform that had visited Jeongguk's owners' garden when he and V had their first encounter. "He's a hybrid catcher. And if you haven't noticed, we're hybrids."

Jeongguk rolled his eyes at the other's very obvious statement. "Yeah, but he's only catching street hybrids which, I in fact, am not."

V smirked at that. "Maybe in heart, yes, but on appearance, no. The only thing that saves hybrids from people like him is collars, which it seems like you do not have on, bun." The tiger said with a fake pitiful look.

Jeongguk gasped and took himself to his naked neck when the other's words finally sunk in.

"B—but— That's not fair! I—I'm not a street hybrid!"

"Sure thing, bun. But to that hybrid catcher," He once again motioned over to the man in the blue uniform, "you're just like any other street hybrid walking around here, waiting to be caught." He stood up completely and crossed his arms over his broad chest, "Which is why we take the scenic route."

Jeongguk scoffed but then looked down at the ground, "Honey and Darling are probably worried sick right now..."

V sighed again and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Look, Ggukie, I'm sorry to break it to you but I don't see any posters around the city saying 'Hybrid lost, have you seen him?'. They've probably already forgotten all about you."

The bunny then immediately looked up, staring the older deep in the eyes with a serious look. "Listen here, V." The said male was slightly taken aback by the lack of honorifics and serious eyes and tone of the younger. "I don't know what kind of shit you're talking about but my humans would never abandon me. They love me and I love them. Just you wait and see. Soon I'll be back in their arms and they'd shower me with love, just like they've always done." Jeongguk finished in a stern voice, breathing slightly uneven as he held his eyes focused on the tiger in front of him.
