They headed back towards the cave after disposing of the bodies. He scrubbed his hands down his face as he wondered where he was going to stash the car. They entered the cave, exhaustion seeping into his bones as he flopped down onto the bed. She sat down next to him, resting her head against his shoulder as he stared off into space. He would not allow them to have her even if he drew his last breath to stop them. He wrapped a tight arm around her waist as he thought of where to go. He sorted through information in his head from the phone he had went through, deciding that the only way out was to go on the offense. He would strike them first before they could find them. He peered down at the woman he held onto, knowing he had no life if anything were to happen to her. He knew if he went after these men that she would not allow him to go alone. He only had two options about it and that was locking her down somewhere or allowing her to go with him into the belly of the beast. He already knew the answer as he sighed silently to himself. She would never forgive him if he prevented her from coming with him and he knew that.
"Did you bring that suit with you?"
"Yea it was still in that duffle bag. Why, what are you thinking?"
"I'm thinking we are going to strike first. We've already taken two out and know that they are sending more in to try to neutralize you. They don't know that we know they are coming. So, I say that we strike them first. We set up the playing field to our advantage and take them down. We have home field advantage and the added bonus of knowing they are coming. What do you say?"
"I say let's do this. I am tired of running away. What is your plan?"
"As of right now, they don't know where we are. We have a day or two to pick someplace and set it up to our advantage. I think stealth will be best, silent weapons versus flash boom kinds. Hide cashes of silent weapons we can snatch on the run, trip sensors that will alert us of their location and with the suits we will be camouflaged at least partly. There is only one catch to this."
"What is that?"
"You get yourself hurt or killed and I will never forgive you for it. I just found you and I will be pissed if I lose you."
"Right back at you. So where were you thinking?"
"The house, it's a wooded area surrounding the house, no nearby neighbors to get in the cross fire, there is already hidden weapons on the property and all we would need to do is set up trip sensors. If the house is damaged during the raid, it can be rebuilt. We can head back and set stuff up, get some sleep before all hell breaks lose and hopefully make it out on the other side of this."
"Lets do it then. We will get through this and be able to start our lives together without this hanging over our heads."
He gave her a solid kiss on the mouth as his canines elongated. He pulled away to cover up his teeth, ashamed that he was feeling that way in the situation they were in. He heard a soft chuckle from her as she crawled into his lap, tilting her head as she pulled his head to her. He growled as he latched onto her throat, drawing her life blood into himself. He flipped her onto her back, still drawing from her has he worked her pants down with one hand. He sprang himself free to enter her as he sealed the twin pinpricks at her throat. He growled as her back arched into his as they met with a feral urgency, not knowing if they would get a chance to be together again. Her release crashed through her, squeezing him as he pumped in and out tearing a roar from him as he continued. She leaned into him as he went, latching onto his throat drawing him into her as his pace began to pick up. He felt the wave building at the base of his skull and running down his spine. She released him with a cry as her released crashed through her. On an animalistic roar he felt his release rip from him as blood trickled down his throat from her pinpricks. He collapsed down next to her, dragging her up against him as they panted. He didn't care that his throat still bled as they rested. He knew it was going to be a long few days but couldn't be any happier as he held onto her. She leaned up and sealed the pinpricks before looking into his eyes, her eyes turning to deep sapphire as she peered at him.
"I will never get tired of your eyes turning to that glowing jade color. Let's go big guy, we have some work to do."
"I will never tire of your sapphire eyes either. Lets pack up and go. I want to end this so we can stop running."
With that they straightened themselves out and started packing stuff they would need for their plan. He packed a few of the MRE's along with spare trip sensors and a few more weapons he had stashed in his silent haven. War was coming and he prayed to whatever gods there were that they both made it through to the other side of it. Together they got back into the vehicle he had sped away from their home in, driving silently back where the battle would take place to get ready. They had better be praying men because he was gunning for them and hell was coming with him.
