"Oh, shoot!" I said after I looked at the clock and realized I was late for work. I quickly rushed to the front door to put on my black stilettos before rushing out of the apartment in a hurry.

Give it up to me and my obsession with reading that made me stay up at night till three am. I couldn't help it, alright. The book was way too interesting to stop then and there.

It is currently 08:43am and I am supposed to be at work at nine o'clock sharp. It takes around a fifteen-minute-walk to get to the company, but since I won't be able to function unless I have my cup of coffee, I always drop off at Starbucks first.

But looking at the time again, do I have it though?

Argh, screw it! If I'm gonna be late, then at least with a cup of coffee!

I entered the shop quickly after turning right around the corner and was so thankful that there weren't many people inside.

Probably because it's already so late.

The cashier at the front asked me for my order and I said in a hurry, "one iced caramel brûlée latte with cream on top, please," I handed her the money and waited for my order at the right counter.

While I waited I looked at my watch once more and it read 08:49am. I shook my head as time was running thin and I still got a good fifteen-minute-walk ahead of me.

"Iced caramel brûlée latte with cream on top for Cami!" I immediately went to the front and took my order. As I was about to leave the employee stopped me.

"You didn't pay for this, miss," I turned around confused, "I actually did. Here, I have the receipt," I dug through my bag to get my purse.

Gosh, you've got to be kidding me right now. Today is really not my day. Now I really regret staying up so late.

After I found my purse, I showed the employee the receipt and she apologized, "it's no problem. Better be safe than sorry, right?" I lightened up the mood and was already starting to walk away.

As I packed my purse away in my bag, I didn't see where I was going and in the next second I collided with someone, spilling my precious coffee all over the person.

I gasped, "oh my gosh, I am so sorry! This was a complete accident, I swear I didn't mean to bump into you!" I apologized without hesitation and grabbed a few tissues from a table nearby and began to rub it all over the person.

Rubbing it against the fabric obviously did nothing except made it worse, so I looked up to apologize to the person again and when I did, wow.

That wasn't even a person! He looked like a freaking greek god! Tall, brown hair covering his forehead, straight and pointy nose with fully straight white teeth, smiling down at me, covered in the perfect pinkish color. And his brown-greenish eyes, so dreamy, staring directly at into mine.

Wait! Now hold the frack up!

I snapped out of my thoughts and took a HUGE step back. My cheeks began to blush as I felt the warmth in them starting to heat up.

Damnit, this was way too embarrassing!

The handsome stranger did nothing but chuckle, "it's alright. I should have looked where I was going. My apologies to you too, miss. I hope our collision didn't ruin your clothes as well?"

I looked down at myself and realized I had a small dark spot on my grey pencil skirt, but that's not in the eyesight anyway. Unlike the front of his white button-up, accompanied by his dark blue suit.

Cue the facepalming now.

Subconsciously, of course.

"No, I'm sorry. I should have looked where I was going. I was just in such a hurry and-", I cut myself off after realizing the word hurry, now hold the frack on again! I glanced at my watch and panicked.

08:54am

Oh, I am so fucked.

I looked at the stranger in front of me and sent him my most apologetic expression, "I am so sorry, but I'm really late for work," I said and grabbed my business card from the front pocket of my bag.

"Feel free to contact me anytime. I will gladly pay for the suit," I handed my card to the man and sidestepped him and was out of the door.

The coffee I just bought was spilled halfway, but it's better than nothing. I walked in a fast pace to the direction of the company and glanced one last time behind me to see the man still staring at me.

My only thought I mind at that time though was just: I can't wait for my ass to be screwed.
