"Hello, I'm here for the job interview at one o'clock," I stated my reason for walking into one of the biggest corporations in the world to the receptionist at the front desk.

She smiled kindly at me and pointed behind her to the elevators, "yes, welcome miss," she waited for me to tell my surname, "Grace."

"Miss Grace, the interview is on the 40th floor. As soon as you walk out of the elevator, there should be someone there to greet you and guide you further," I thanked her for the information and headed to the elevators.

When the doors opened, I stepped inside and pressed my floor. As the elevator headed up, I turned around to look at the view outside since the back of it was covered securely with glass and not medal.

Just a quick reminder of what happened yesterday at the mall, after I got away from them five, I headed to the nearest pizzeria and ordered myself a medium sized tuna pizza with onions on top.

While I waited for either Thalia or Rosie to call me, I spent the next one and a half hours there reading my book, completely content and not distracted or disturbed at all.

They were right, I really needed that one day of relaxation. Though it didn't really go as planned, but it did turn out alright, so I had no complaints.

On our way home, both of them couldn't stop giggling about their new "boyfriends" and I had to roll my eyes at them for being so gullible.

It made me happy to see them this happy. As long as their happiness is there, I don't think I would ever need anything more.

Coming back to reality, I turned back around when the elevator stopped and stepped outside.

The receptionist down there was right, because as soon as I stepped outside, someone a little to my left stood in front of an empty desk.

My guess was that it would belong to whoever gets the job later. Or the person behind that desk was just taking a quick bathroom break at this moment.

Either way, the lady in front of me guided me to another room with many other different people inside.

I just didn't expect to see so many cause there were around ten people, if not, then more waiting.

Were they all here for the job interview?? Oh my god, I'm so gonna lose it to either one of them.

I am so screwed before the interview even started. Now this is gonna be a long afternoon. Good thing I ate lunch before coming here, otherwise I'd starve.

I stretched my neck from left to right and massaged my legs a bit. It's been around two hours now and it was probably the twelfth person that came walking out of the office.

When I saw the news of this corporation in need of a new assistant, I didn't know it would take this long.

All my other interviews took at least only ten minutes. It seemed to me that, whoever sits behind the desk in the office, is interrogating and not interviewing us.

Some people came out with disappointed looks while some looked sullen. I guess they either didn't do too well or they got rejected. Either way, they all looked depressed.

"Miss Grace?" Someone called my name and I quickly stood up, "yes, here," the same lady from before smiled at me and motioned for me to follow her.

I took my belongings and my folder with me and hurriedly caught up with her. The only sounds you could hear were those of our stilettos on the gray carpet and the person in front of me made a left turn.
