– Mom, I know, but I really want to buy a new dress.

Ezgi's been on the phone with her mother for the past twenty minutes and Özgür was just silently shaking his head. He had enough time to change from his wet shorts and put Ezgi's laptop in dry rice, though he knew it wouldn't help a bit. For the sake of it he even tried turning it on, but it just didn't want to cooperate.

– Mom, I'm really grateful, but your dress will require alterations and there's simply no time for that. – Ezgi sat down. A moment later Tesla jumped onto the sofa and put his head on her lap. She gently scratched him behind the ears. – No, mom, we don't have the date yet but it's going to be soon. And don't... No, mom. – Ezgi sighed. – Tamam, I'll come over and we'll talk about the wedding. – She looked at Özgür and gestured him to come closer. He just smirked. There was no way he was going to let her rope him into choosing colors and patterns of tablecloths, no matter how low was the neckline of her nighty. Özgür swallowed hard and turned away. He was about to grab his coffee and go out to the terrace, when he heard Ezgi again. – Yes, mom. Özgür will come, too. Fine. See you then.

She ended the call and leaned over the sofa's back. The straps of her nighty fell and the thin fabric stretched against her chest. Özgür's breath caught. Two weeks. Damn it!

Sevgilim, aren't you cold? Maybe you should get dressed? – He sat next to her with a steaming mug in his hand and called Tesla. The dog ignored him and remained curled up next to Ezgi. – Traitor.

– I'm not cold.

– Are you sure? You have goosebumps. – He gently stroked her arm.

– No, I don't. – Ezgi was confused but soon enough she noticed Özgür's quickened breathing, the way he crossed his legs and tried not to look at her. Suddenly everything was clear and the naughty side of her came out to play.

– Can I use your laptop to check my e-mail? Maybe they wrote back from the villa.

– Sure. It's in the desk.

Ezgi got up and stood right in front of Özgür. Slowly and very deliberately she raised her arms above her head, pushed her chest to the front and her butt to the back. She stretched with an audible yawn. Her nighty rolled up once again exposing her lacy underwear.

– Oh, I needed that. – She winked at him and walked away swaying her hips, pretending not to notice a bulge that appeared under his sweatpants.

Özgür waited until she was out of earshot.

– That's how you wanna play this, bebeğim? Fine. It's on.

Ozan was in the La Gabbia kitchen, furiously chopping carrots. Everything got on his nerves today, even people simply saying "good morning". Last night was a disaster. He waited so long for it, dreaming and hoping and instead it was all a bust.

– Ozan chef, how are you?

Özgür walked in, but before he even thought of putting his hand on his friend's shoulder, Ozan turned to him with a knife in his hand.

– Women are from a different planet. – He shook the knife and promptly went back to chopping. Özgür looked at him for a moment.

– Bro, what happened?

– Nothing.

– Ozan, come on. I know you. – He kept his distance, just in case. – And put the knife down. I think that carrot has paid enough for its sins.

– I think it's over, man. – Ozan sighed and set the knife aside. – Deniz will break up with me.

– Why? – Özgür grabbed a piece of cucumber and shoved it in his mouth. – What happened?
