"To prevent the spread of evil, sometimes righteous war is even necessary. You cannot preach nonviolence and cooperation to a wild tiger, for he will destroy you even before you can expound your philosophy. Some human perpetrators of evil are similarly unresponsive to reason."
-Parmahansa Yogananda

A sinister laugh escaped this creature in front of me, it's laugh was deep and twisted. It hid a rage, a bloodlust with a thirst so strong oceans of crimson couldn't clench it. He towered over me as he stood up, standing nearly a foot taller. By the looks of it he had more muscle too, his dark flesh twitching and pulsating. The smile on Oliver's face sent a chill down my spine, the only word I could think of to describe it was hungry.

Lion: What's wrong, don't you miss me.

He started with a low laugh almost a growl, as he closed his fists I could hear all his knuckles crack. His jaw pressed so hard together that blood start to leak from his exposed gums, he began to hyper ventilate as he took one step towards me.

Lion: I want blood, give me your blood! I want it now! Give me it now! GIVE ME IT! GIVE ME IT! NOW!

I took a step back keeping a tight grip on my shotgun.

Fiend: Both of you get out of here.

Dokk and Zero were hesitant, this was a fight for me and only me to handle.

Fiend: Get out of here, NOW!

Zero grabbed her shoulder and started to run, I looked back to Oliver to see him growl.

Lion: Where are they going, I want to break them.

As his remorseless eyes fixed themselves back on me I met him with a barrage of bullets, I fired ten rounds into his chest dropping him to the floor. I lowered the smoking barrel of my gun to see my target, but his laugh of my attempts to kill him was unsettling to say the least.

Lion: Y/n, Y/n, Y/n.

He sat up as the slug rounds fell to the ground, his chest was already healing.

Lion: You should know that it'll take more than that to kill one of us.

Oliver sprinted towards me, I managed to fire another five rounds before he connected a right hook. I could feel my jaw pop out and back into place as I flew through the air, I crashed into the wall behind me breaking the drywall all to hell. I raised my gun once more and fired rapidly, he continued walking as the rounds hit. Blood shot out behind him as the rounds passed through, he nearly reached me before I aimed lower to his right knee. One bullet disabled him, it broke his leg but did not stop his advance. He grabbed hold of my foot and pulled himself towards me, he grabbed the barrel of the gun and crumpled it. He smiled and laughed like a loon, in some panic I drew my knife and plunged it into his eye well I kicked him off me. He landed about 10 feet away as his knee cracked back into working position, he grabbed the knife slowly pulling it from his face.

Lion: Come on your not trying hard enough, fight me. Fight me! KILL ME!

He rushed forward with knife in hand, I got to my feet quickly drawing my hammer in a swing. Hitting him across the jaw his momentum knocked him to the ground, he recovered quickly with a strike of wrath that brought the blade through my shoulder cutting deep. He left the knife in to make me pull it out, he was excited seeing my blood squirt from my open wound. I threw the knife hitting him dead in the chest, I lunged forward with a kick pushing the blade through the other side of his body. I grabbed my hammer on my back and swung upwards clocking him in the jaw, I could hear his bone shatter as his body flung backwards onto the floor.

Fiend: I'm sorry Oliver, but your to dangerous to be left alive.

His jaw popped back into place as his bone molded back together, he dug his fingers into his chest pulling the large knife from his torso. He gripped it tightly getting to his feet, blood dripped from both of us. The warm crimson pooled as we stood in a stand off, we each let out a battle cry as we dashed towards one another. I swung my hammer down connecting it to his shoulder as he slashed my stomach, he jumped up with a knee to my chest following it up with a right and left hook. He tried for a third but this time I blocked it with the head of my hammer, his hand broke against the cold steel. He stepped back moving his broken fingers as they started to heal, clutching up on my weapon I cracked Oliver in the ribs. I quickly followed it up with a overhead swing on his skull knocking him to the floor in a daze, without letting him recover I landed another blow on his back. I heard his bones breaking which made me smile, some sinister laughter escaped me as I swung from the side lunching him across the room as it shattered his already broken ribs.
