Chapter 5: Wait What?

It was 2 days after the attack, I was taking it easy but it didn't last long considering we had training almost every day. It was in the afternoon when I went to the cafeteria for some lunch, I got a tray and sat down at one of the tables, by myself. I was interrupted when Grace and Em slammed down their trays on the table making me shoot up. 

Fiend: Damn what was that for?

Dokkaebi: For getting lunch without us.

Grace and Em had become good friends since the mission, it was nice to see them getting along.

Fiend: Sorry didn't know you wanted to.

Dokkaebi: Well now you know.

She smiled and Em just shook her head, we started to eat lunch well we chatted.

Twitch: So did you hear Elena is developing a new suit for training, if you get hit enough it stops you from moving. It seems really realistic don't you think? 

Dokkaebi: It's cool and all but I can just see the bugs, but I do like the idea.

Fiend: I like the idea, all tho I still don't see how it will stop you from moving?

Twitch: I'll leave it up to Elena to figure out.

Dokkaebi: I'm no expert in that but I'll stop by and ask if she may need hep with something.

Lion: Em, can I borrow you for a sec?

I turn around and see Lion giving me a death glare, I just smirk at him well Em gets up from her seat and follows him.

Twitch POV

Oliver(Lion) stops me outside the cafeteria and looks at me with frustration.

Lion: What the hell is wrong with you? Why are you hanging around him, he nearly got me killed and now your buddy-buddy with him?

Twitch: Quit being an ass, he's not such a bad guy.

Lion: Bad guy!

He rolls up his left sleeve showing the still healing wound up his arm, it was about a 20cm cut up his forearm.

Lion: Does a bad guy do this. . ?

He lifts up the bottom of his shirt showing another still healing wound above the right side of his hip.

Lion: Or stab someone through the damn side? He's not a damn person Em, why can't you see that. You've been my friend for so many years and you helped me now I'm trying to help you, stay away from him he's dangerous!

Twitch: He's not dangerous, well not to us. He. . . he saved me in the field. I could of died. . . or. . . or worse.

Lion: Em what do you mean or worse? *quietly* Did something happen?

Twitch: No of course not, it's just that I was seconds away from dying and he came just in time.

I hate lying to my friends but I couldn't bring myself to tell him.

Lion: *sighs* I'm sorry Em I just wanted to have your best interests at heart, but your a strong person, you can make your own decisions.

Twitch: I'm glad you realized, I'm sorry he hurt you but he probably doesn't even remember what happened.

Lion: I know that, sorry I just get so caught up in the moment and. . .

Twitch: Oliver, I know you do. Just try to take it easy alright, maybe you should come join us? They made those muffins you like, just come sit with us and try to be nice, Y/n will.
