Chapter 1: Man or Monster?

Doc's POV

I was in my office, Y/n was across the hall in his room sleeping. It had a large bullet proof window so I could see him from my desk, I was just doing some paper work ordering medical supplies.

*Knock Knock*

Doc: Come in.

My door opens and Lera(Finka) steps inside.

Finka: Hey Doc, Harry wants to talk to you, I think it's about Fiend.

Doc: Now why do you call him that? He's sick not a monster.

Finka: What ever, anyway you coming?

Doc: Yes but it's not what ever, he suffered more then the damage he's caused.

Finka: *snickers* You weren't the one fighting them, or the one watching your comrades being killed.

Doc: Alright theres no need to get hostile.

I set down my pen and walk with her, I stop in my tracks seeing Y/n sitting up in his bed looking down at his hands.

Doc: Lera go get Six please.

Finka: Alright.

I walk into the room keeping out of his reach, he looks up at me and he had a scared and confused look plastered across his face.

Fiend(AKA Y/n): Wha. . . what happened to me?

He ties to get up only to realize he has very thick handcuffs around his hands and feet.

Doc: Mr. L/n, my name is doctor. . .

Fiend: Kateb. . . Your names doctor Gustave Kateb. How do I know that?

Doc: Mr. L/n you were infected with a virus. This virus increased your size and made you very aggressive, we manged to make a cure but you were the only one of your type to be cured. But it altered your body and increased your size, and also changed your anatomy slightly.

Fiend: So in other words I turned into a monster.

Doc: . . .

I saw Harry walk into the med bay, he comes inside seeing Y/n with the same expression as earlier. 

Six: Hello Y/n, I'm Six, but you can call me Harry.

Time Skip: 2 Weeks later, brought to you by science. . . Now inject this man with some science!

It's been 2 weeks since Y/n started to remember, he told us about how he defended his town and we told him more about his condition. He was taking it pretty hard and I could tell he was depressed. He hadn't had anymore rage fits and was starting to get his bearings back, I had a knock on my door and in came Harry.

Six: Gustave do you have a moment?

Doc: Of course.

He takes a seat, he hands me a paper I quickly scan it over.

Six: I want to test out Y/n's ability's to see if he's able for recruitment.

I toss the paper on my desk and say with much frustration.

Doc: Harry we have no clue how he may react if we test him, not to mention what may happen to his mental health when he sees what he's truly become. The man can break steel handcuffs like there plastic, not to mention he's injured other operators here and they don't want him on the team, they gave him the name Fiend for Christs sake!

Six: I know there may be some difficulty's but we can't deny that he has experience and this pathogen has given him super human like abilities, he can heal gun shots and stab wounds in hours. Imagine if we had someone like that in the field, he would save many lives and take down many masks. Not to mention he already has experience in the marine corps and law enforcement, not only that he applied to the FBI. But I won't do anything if you don't think it's a good idea.

I sit back in my chair with a long sigh.

Doc: Sure, just go easy with him, I can't disagree that he'd be an unstoppable force against the masks. Might be bad for stealth missions but he would be good with a shield to protect everyone, but Gilles(Montagne) might feel he's being replaced.

Harry chuckles and gets up.

Six: I'll take your advise, thank you.

He leaves the room and I close my eyes not knowing what this may bring.

Fiends POV

Harry comes into my room, he had a playful smile across his face.

Six: Y/n can I ask you something.

Fiend: Sure?

Six: Could I ask you to the gym here to test your new body?

Fiend: I'm not sure.

Six: Y/n listen.

He walks up beside me and places a hand on my shoulder giving me a comforting smile.

Six: I know your uncomfortable with how you look and feel after the outbreak, but with this curse comes a blessing. You have increased strength and your skin is now an armor, your body heals from wounds in matter of seconds to hours. Not only to that but you have training in law enforcement, I would like you to join us.

I laid there speechless, I always wanted to join rainbow. . . but how could I join them like this? Only getting in because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time! How will the operators react to me being one of them? I was the enemy and they'll still see me as the enemy. 

Fiend: I'm not sure I can, how can I join the people that I was trying to kill only weeks ago? How can I join a group of elites when I've barley had any experience? And how can I join them just because I was turned into a monster!

I didn't realize how aggressive I was coming off yet his stance didn't falter. He sighed shaking his head as he said.

Six: Y/n your no monster, your just a man bad things have happened too. And yes you were their enemy but that's because you were sick, that wasn't you!

Fiend: Well. . . I guess. . . *sighs* fine I'll show you what I can do.

Six: You won't regret it, trust me when I say you'll be a great addition to the team.

Fiend: Thanks Harry, but could I ask, can it just be me and you for when I test out my ability's?

Six: Of course, I'll be back tomorrow for your test.

He walks towards the door but I raise my hand saying.

Fiend: Harry?

He turns around smiling.

Six: Yes?

Fiend: Thanks for talking me into doing this.

Six: Your welcome.

Ok humans what do you think of my first chapter of Can't be Cured? I really like the concept of this story and I hope you do too, and if you know me then you know that I always add a romance in my story. So who do you think it's going to be? Hint it's not Finka, nor any romance from any of my other story's so that leaves out Ela, Ash and Frost. Anyway I'm gonna go write the next chapter now so bye may humans! 1191 words, Hazard out!
