MATTHEW looks stunned for a few moments, but then collects himself.

JESSICA
Ah well, it had to be worth a try.
JESSICA tries to grab the swords but MATTHEW dodges out of the way.
MATTHEW
Who's the mummy now? Huh? Huh?
Unexpectedly, JESSICA slumps to the ground.
STEVE
Did she just faint?
MATTHEW
I think so. Well that's disappointing. I was rather hoping for a more dramatic conclusion, involving my deadly swords.
MATTHEW crouches over JESSICA's body.
STEVE
Be careful, Matthew. It could be a trick.
MATTHEW
No, it's not a trick. It appears that... It would seem... Jessica Zeus is dead!
MATTHEW
What?
MATTHEW
Yes, it appears that I scared her to death.
STEVE claps his hands.
STEVE
So your swords did save the day, after all.
RAYMOND steps forward.
RAYMOND
Is it true? Did you kill the forgetful thug?
